Tuesday in Omaha

Two big games of interest today.

First, the Chapel Heels and Bayou Tigs face each other in the early elimination game.  That one goes at 3pm and is televised on ESPN.  The loser of that one goes home.  The winner survives to play in Thursday’s game.

Then tonight at 8pm on ESPN2, today’s main event (as far as Wolfpack and Bruins fans are concerned at least) gets underway as the Pack faces UCLA in the winner’s bracket.  The loser of that one will face the winner of today’s early game between Carolina/LSU on Thursday.

The winner, on the other hand, will move straight thru to Friday.  Moreover, whoever emerges from Thursday’s elimination game will then have to beat tonight’s winner twice on short rest.

In other words, whoever wins tonight is in the driver’s seat…big time.

Since I don’t feel like writing much more, I figured I’d give ya some mojo type videos to watch.  And if you don’t watch them and we lose….then it’s your fault.

And I’ll know if you don’t watch them.

(Just kidding, I’ll have no clue.  But YOU’LL know)

Unwritten Rules…

Strikeouts Are Fascist…

Pack Needs Some BIG MARBLES…

Just because I love this speech…

Arise Chicken…

Just like every other day, we’ll be doing the periodic updates during the early game, then the psuedo play x play for the Pack vs Bruins.

And I bet BJD95 can’t wait to see the Cat Meme I’ve got for him today…but he’ll just have to wait.  That can’t go up until after the first game.  Mojo…ya gotta handle it just right.  😀

Go Pack!!!!

Hope Vanderdicks a little tight after that long inning we could really use a counterpunch here soon.

    All game

Brett Williams grounds out 4-3 for the first out in the Pack’s 5th….

    Adametz retired F8, two away….

Armstrong does likewise…nothing doing for the Pack in the 5th.

UCLA still leads 2-1 going to the 6th.

It hit in front of him, I thought. Maybe I’m wrong.

Baseball scoring can be really unfair.

    Not looking good.

Passed ball didn’t really matter though with the walk

The boys are going to have to start swinging at the first pitch or square around, something has to be done to mess up their pitcher’s timing. He’s feeling it.

’87, you’re probably right…I was too busy cussing loudly for my brain to capture the video image accurately/reliably, I’m sure.

    😀

Yep…was close but definitely hit in front of Austin’s mitt.

Gallagher retired 4-3 for UCLA’s first out in the 6th….

Zeile Ks looking for out number two….Sasser looking more like Sasser now….

Another 4-3 for Regis ends it. I guess he needed Kelly on that one.

    2-1 UCLA mid 6th.

Spurs up 50-44 at the half

    Atta boy Sasser.

Gentlemen, I’ll have you know that I have finished that 22oz of whiskey barrel aged Belgian-style Quadrupel that was so unlucky these past few innings. I take full blame for Logan’s yips, Brett’s receiving miscue and Avent’s hesitation on the hook. Good things are on the horizon.

Ratledge knocks the crap out of the ball, but on the wrong line…lines out to 3rd, one away….

Turner grounds out 5-3 for out number two….

    There’s your first pitch swing

Edit: My feed is obviously slow

Fincher is retired 6-3 to end a very quick Pack 6th.

    Still 2-1 Bruins.

  16. elvislives 06/18/2013 at 10:16 PM #

    I said horizon, not the 6th. Waitress….

  17. WolfTrack 06/18/2013 at 10:16 PM #

    Bruins on cruise. Dammit.

  18. Texpack 06/18/2013 at 10:16 PM #

If we score again I will be shocked.

  19. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 10:20 PM #

Leadoff walk for the Bruins to start the 7th…

  20. elvislives 06/18/2013 at 10:20 PM #

Shut this inning down Sasser, get angry or something.

  21. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 10:21 PM #

My optimism is back to its usual flatline level.

  22. elvislives 06/18/2013 at 10:22 PM #

This game feels like it’s being played in mud.

  23. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 10:22 PM #

I go with Stone Thursday, Rodon Friday, Ogburn Saturday.

  24. redwolf87 06/18/2013 at 10:23 PM #

Have I missed the inevitable reference to the 1974 basketball championship or have they not made it yet?

  25. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 10:23 PM #

Sac bunt moves the runner over…one away…
