Tuesday in Omaha

Two big games of interest today.

First, the Chapel Heels and Bayou Tigs face each other in the early elimination game.  That one goes at 3pm and is televised on ESPN.  The loser of that one goes home.  The winner survives to play in Thursday’s game.

Then tonight at 8pm on ESPN2, today’s main event (as far as Wolfpack and Bruins fans are concerned at least) gets underway as the Pack faces UCLA in the winner’s bracket.  The loser of that one will face the winner of today’s early game between Carolina/LSU on Thursday.

The winner, on the other hand, will move straight thru to Friday.  Moreover, whoever emerges from Thursday’s elimination game will then have to beat tonight’s winner twice on short rest.

In other words, whoever wins tonight is in the driver’s seat…big time.

Since I don’t feel like writing much more, I figured I’d give ya some mojo type videos to watch.  And if you don’t watch them and we lose….then it’s your fault.

And I’ll know if you don’t watch them.

(Just kidding, I’ll have no clue.  But YOU’LL know)

Unwritten Rules…

Strikeouts Are Fascist…

Pack Needs Some BIG MARBLES…

Just because I love this speech…

Arise Chicken…

Just like every other day, we’ll be doing the periodic updates during the early game, then the psuedo play x play for the Pack vs Bruins.

And I bet BJD95 can’t wait to see the Cat Meme I’ve got for him today…but he’ll just have to wait.  That can’t go up until after the first game.  Mojo…ya gotta handle it just right.  😀

Go Pack!!!!

Damn it all to shit and back again. Nightmare.

  6. Texpack 06/18/2013 at 9:50 PM #

    Two runs on basically nothing

    Man that pisses me off

  8. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:51 PM #

Sasser falls behind in the count, they end up giving up the 4th ball and the walk intentionally…loaded again with two away….

Sloppy receiving by Austin there. Can’t have that. 2 runs won’t win this game. Need the stop here.

Personally, I hope we’ve got more bullpen action going….Sasser has been anything but Sasser-esque thus far.

  11. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:54 PM #

Yeah, Sasser looks bad. Wilkins or Ogburn?

  12. redcanine 06/18/2013 at 9:54 PM #

that’s not a beach ball. that’s a bruin breast implant.

  13. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:55 PM #

I guess the official scoring on that before was a wild pitch. I disagree and stand by my scoring it a passed ball.

WP on the run. As much as that is on Austin, ball hit the dirt first. WP by definition.

Agree…Sasser’s looking sketchy tonight. Needs to go before it’s too late.

    Whew. That sounded like trouble.

    F-ck you, Mike Patrick.

I think I just sharted my pants. Good grief, that could have been a lot uglier of an inning.

  18. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:58 PM #

Ball hit hard to center, Williams hauls it in to minimize the damage…but UCLA gets two to take a 2-1 lead.

  19. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:58 PM #

I suppose could go with Woeck too.

  20. PackFamily 06/18/2013 at 9:59 PM #

Lucky to get out of that without any more runs.

  21. h2othf 06/18/2013 at 9:59 PM #

    “…North Carolina’s Eliott Avent…”?!

    Eff you, Patrick!

  22. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:59 PM #

Was it ’87? For some reason I didn’t think it found dirt until it caromed off of Austin’s glove. If so, that does change it.

But yeah, Austin still should have easily kept it in front of him instead of just reaching.

  23. Gowolves 06/18/2013 at 9:59 PM #

I think that is one rule that needs tweaking. Too many catchers are let off the hook.

  24. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 10:00 PM #

That was the hardest hit ball all inning.

    Bring back Kaylee.
