Two big games of interest today.

First, the Chapel Heels and Bayou Tigs face each other in the early elimination game.  That one goes at 3pm and is televised on ESPN.  The loser of that one goes home.  The winner survives to play in Thursday’s game.

Then tonight at 8pm on ESPN2, today’s main event (as far as Wolfpack and Bruins fans are concerned at least) gets underway as the Pack faces UCLA in the winner’s bracket.  The loser of that one will face the winner of today’s early game between Carolina/LSU on Thursday.

The winner, on the other hand, will move straight thru to Friday.  Moreover, whoever emerges from Thursday’s elimination game will then have to beat tonight’s winner twice on short rest.

In other words, whoever wins tonight is in the driver’s seat…big time.

Since I don’t feel like writing much more, I figured I’d give ya some mojo type videos to watch.  And if you don’t watch them and we lose….then it’s your fault.

And I’ll know if you don’t watch them.

(Just kidding, I’ll have no clue.  But YOU’LL know)

Unwritten Rules…

Strikeouts Are Fascist…

Pack Needs Some BIG MARBLES…

Just because I love this speech…

Arise Chicken…

Just like every other day, we’ll be doing the periodic updates during the early game, then the psuedo play x play for the Pack vs Bruins.

And I bet BJD95 can’t wait to see the Cat Meme I’ve got for him today…but he’ll just have to wait.  That can’t go up until after the first game.  Mojo…ya gotta handle it just right.  😀

Go Pack!!!!

Adametz gets HBP to lead off the Pack’s 3rd…

Patrick still can’t figure out how to look at his lineup card.

That’s Armstrong, not Ratledge….and he hits one thru the left side, Pack with a little something going with two on and none away….

  4. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:02 PM #

OK, here is where bunting makes sense. 1st and 2nd, no outs, 9 hole in order.

  5. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:03 PM #

Ratledge moves both runners over with the sac bunt…one way.

They shoulda let him swing away with his whiffle ball lefty swings. I think.

  6. Gowolves 06/18/2013 at 9:03 PM #

    Nice bunt!

  7. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:04 PM #

Can’t believe they are pitching to Turner at all.

  8. Texpack 06/18/2013 at 9:05 PM #

How do you not score on that throw?

  9. Gowolves 06/18/2013 at 9:06 PM #

That was poor base running. Should have scored easy there

  10. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:06 PM #

Ugh, poor baserunning by Armstrong. Got caught with no lead and weight on back foot before taking off. Big mistake.

  11. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:06 PM #

Turner grounds thru the left side scoring one, throw is overthrown from the outfield, Armstrong tries for home but is tagged out when the ball takes a friendly Bruin carom off the backstop….

    1-0 Pack, Turner on 2nd, two away…

  12. MP 06/18/2013 at 9:06 PM #

    Well that rocked and sucked

  13. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:07 PM #

You always make the turn, and have momentum shifting in case something happens. Jake did neither.

  14. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:08 PM #

Jernigan for five, then Sasser for 2-3, Overman for 1-2.

    Fin.

  15. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:09 PM #

Pitch in the dirt allows Turner to steal 3rd….

Fincher flies out to left, F7 to end it.

But the Pack gets one, lead 1-0 going to the 4th.

man, that bounced right to the catcher. tough break.

I think the request was “cat” pix

  18. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:12 PM #

I put another one up…go back to the last page right at the end.

  19. PackFamily 06/18/2013 at 9:12 PM #

Admittedly I am a baseball neophyte. I already wanna pull Jernigan just to get fresh arms in there. Avent will wait until we are in a whole and I’ll be like Mccroskey in Airplane!

  20. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 9:12 PM #

I did only two things well as a baseball (and then softball) player – run the bases aggressively, and play good defense at 2B.

I hate, hate, hate poor baserunning.

  21. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:14 PM #

Valaika flies out F7 for out number one in the Bruins’ 4th…

Shallow pop fly corralled by Adametz, another F7, two away…

  22. Gowolves 06/18/2013 at 9:14 PM #

I might be wrong on the poor base running comment. In all fairness he ran to the base because the LF came in strong to field the ball. Worried he would shoot to third on a throw. If he knew the LF would over throw it he would have made the turn through the bag. Then the pitcher could have cut it off. That play had a lot of issues.

  23. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 9:16 PM #

K swinging for Jernigan to end the Bruins’ 4th.

And I think Jernigan is just fine where he is at the moment. Let’s not get froggy folks.

  24. Gowolves 06/18/2013 at 9:17 PM #

Baseball gives people the nerves. Settle down. Jernigan looked great that inning.

F the golf clap. Pounding hands together on that!

Emphasis on the apostrophes, not the cat.
