Tuesday in Omaha

Two big games of interest today.

First, the Chapel Heels and Bayou Tigs face each other in the early elimination game.  That one goes at 3pm and is televised on ESPN.  The loser of that one goes home.  The winner survives to play in Thursday’s game.

Then tonight at 8pm on ESPN2, today’s main event (as far as Wolfpack and Bruins fans are concerned at least) gets underway as the Pack faces UCLA in the winner’s bracket.  The loser of that one will face the winner of today’s early game between Carolina/LSU on Thursday.

The winner, on the other hand, will move straight thru to Friday.  Moreover, whoever emerges from Thursday’s elimination game will then have to beat tonight’s winner twice on short rest.

In other words, whoever wins tonight is in the driver’s seat…big time.

Since I don’t feel like writing much more, I figured I’d give ya some mojo type videos to watch.  And if you don’t watch them and we lose….then it’s your fault.

And I’ll know if you don’t watch them.

(Just kidding, I’ll have no clue.  But YOU’LL know)

Unwritten Rules…

Strikeouts Are Fascist…

Pack Needs Some BIG MARBLES…

Just because I love this speech…

Arise Chicken…

Just like every other day, we’ll be doing the periodic updates during the early game, then the psuedo play x play for the Pack vs Bruins.

And I bet BJD95 can’t wait to see the Cat Meme I’ve got for him today…but he’ll just have to wait.  That can’t go up until after the first game.  Mojo…ya gotta handle it just right.  😀

Go Pack!!!!

    Hershousler isn’t prepared worth a sh!t. Can’t even pronounce the coach’s name.

Jernigan was the #2 starter in Supes as well, and he pitched solidly. I presume we have more confidence in Ogburn’s versatility (ie, can pitch effectively out of the pen).

This is also the best spot to go “bullpen heavy.”

Great pitch to get that swinging K. Jernigan looking good thus far.

Is that cotton wood tree blooms blowing around the field?

  6. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:35 PM #

Jernigan Ks Zeile swinging on a nice moving change up…Pack coming up in the 2nd, still no score.

  7. Gowolves 06/18/2013 at 8:37 PM #

Wow now that is a face only a mother could love.

They are going out of little facts and trivia by the fourth inning. Then they may have to actually work. Oh no!

  9. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:39 PM #

Senay grounds out to 2nd, 4-3 for the first out of the Pack’s half of the 2nd….

    Swing the bat Clyde!

  11. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:41 PM #

    Clyde Ks swinging, two away…

Williams flies out to right, F9, to end it.

    Still scoreless after 2.

Is that a scarecrow in centerfield?

  13. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:43 PM #

Just for the (hopeful) jinx factor….

UCLA’s Vander Tuig has not only a NO HITTER going so far…but a PERFECT GAME.

Does it work when you’re trying to mess it up for the opposition? BJD? Whaddya think?

  14. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:45 PM #

UCLA’s Regis retired 4-3 for the first out….

Allen goes 4-3 as well for out number two…

  15. BJD95 06/18/2013 at 8:46 PM #

Hmmm, probably. It certainly can’t hurt.

  16. Gowolves 06/18/2013 at 8:47 PM #

Someone out there who knows the college coaching community… How big was it when the Pack got Holiday?

  17. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:48 PM #

Gapper in right center for a double by UCLA’s Carroll with two away….

A walk gives the Bruins two on with two away…

    Golf clap

  22. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:54 PM #

Weak ground ball to Senay for a 3U to get out of it. Jernigan tightened up there a bit once they got a baserunner. Hope that was temporary.

  23. Pack78 06/18/2013 at 8:55 PM #

Batter did not run out the dribbler to 1st-hurt?

    More ‘cat’ pix!

  24. Wufpacker 06/18/2013 at 8:55 PM #

    A bonus for BJD…
