    Turner goes down 3U to end it…

    Heels need at least 8 runs with only 3 outs to do it…

    I like our chances.

    I agree BJD, but apparently Avent sees it differently…Rodon on the hill to start the 9th.

    I bet after the hard luck he’s had against the Heels tho, getting him outta the game at this point probably not easy.

    Lead off single for Heels’ Chaz Frank….

    Lassiter doubles Frank home…8-1 now….

    Don’t let this go too far Avent…I’m not even kidding….

    OK, Wuf, obviously pulling for UCLA tonight, prefer to put off seeing LSU as long as possible. Any read on how much of a shot the bears have here?

    @theghost….don’t put any money on the Bruins. They don’t have the hitters to expect much vs Nola.

    Silver lining – going 110ish removes any temptation to use Carlos on Thursday, even if it’s an elimination game.

    Beautiful play…glove save if I may coin a hockey term….Ratledge to Senay (4-3) to end it. 8-1 final.

    Pack goes to the winner’s bracket.

    Almost as importantly…Heels head to the loser’s bracket.

    LSU/UCLA in about two hours.

    Infield fly rule: with less than 2 outs, and 1st and 2nd occupied (or bases loaded, of course) when a routine fly ball is hit that a fielder can catch with ordinary effort, the batter shall be called out. This is to prevent the fielder from intentionally dropping the routine ball in an attempt to turn a double play.

    Oh, and one hell of a win. Rodon was sharp. He’s fine for his next start. One thing to consider with pitch count is the number of high stress pitches- and he was on cruise control for most of the game until the last few.

    I haven’t smoked a cigar in 5 years, but I’m smoking one now, and it is pretty darn good…hand rolled from the Cigar Factory in New Orleans; picked it up in May on vacation, and I must say it is the perfect occasion to light ‘er up!
