This is great class inducted into the N.C. State Hall of Fame. I agree with each selection and look forward to seeing who is inducted into the 3rd class.

I’d like to see us step off the pedal a little bit. We only have so many alums who are ‘Hall of Fame’ worthy. Would be nice to start inducting ~5 a year as opposed to 10 so that we can have a robust class for the next decade+. At this pace we might exhaust the true HOF caliber in 5-7 years. I don’t want to see us force fit names in the future and therefore diminish the honor.

StateFans, from the Hall of Fame page at GoPack.com:

“A maximum of six (6) individuals shall be elected in a given year; except that, up to ten (10) members may be elected to each of the first three induction classes. The election of a team or unit (e.g. tennis doubles team, swimming relay team) shall count as one (1) against the maximum number of annual inductees. Consideration will be given to the number of male and female inductees and the number of inductees by sport in each, annual induction class.”

Note that it is not mandatory to induct the maximum each year.

I think it’s damned near imperative to utilize the full alottment next year to include people that just might not be around for the wait.

They screwed up on Alex Webster, who died last Spring, and there are at least 4 that I can think of with the total package that ain’t ” dead yet. ” If ya know what I mean.

Agreed with Webster, and wholeheartedly with Sadri…Shared a round of golf with John a few years back..Great guy and it took my 9 holes to finally figure out who the heck he was!
