First Four Tuesday Game Thread

Yeah, it’s just for the right to get massacred by Louisville, but the Aggies and Fightin’ Falwells are putting on a pretty entertaining offensive show.

Plus mystery teams Middle TN and St. Mary’s later tonight!

Hey, it still beats the NIT (Robert Morris spanking KY is pretty funny though).

Can you imagine CJL and Harrow on the same team?

Yes, Alpha. I remember it well.

Both teams are looking much better in the second half. Shaping up to be a good ending.

What channel is the game on? I’m getting commercials all over the place.

TruTV is showing the NCAA where I am, and ESPN is carrying the NIT games. The UVA game is on ESPNU.

Also bummed that Central didn’t make it. I have a Degree from both State and Central and routing for A & T is like pulling for UNC (wait…nothing can be that bad).

No problem with Harrow. Whole situation is strange. He should have transferred to Georgia for certain.

Regarding the “imagine” those guys on the same team-I’ve never got the sense that the CJL along with Zo and Rich have been mutually beneficial. One thought in the back of my mind is that CJ would play one extra year in lieu of their absence.

The universe worked everything out in the end. Harrow got his shot with the Wildcats and failed, while we moved on and are more than fine at the 1.

The parity in College BBall is unreal this year. It’s like looking at the PGA scoring avg and realizing the difference between 1 and 100 is just a couple puts.

The shrieking woman near the mics at the UVA game has got to go.

It seems that the bright side to Julius Mays is that we got Woo, according to Scott Wood.

“Can you imagine CJL and Harrow on the same team?”

We lived it. Wasn’t pretty as I recall.

CJL has his moments, yeah, but it seems like Harrow has gotten even worse. All in all, I am glad Calvin has been a member of the team — he’s got issues, but he’s always played hard. Too hard at times.

To my knowledge…. Calvin has been as fine a representative of our university off the court as we have seen in a while…

And the Calvin “story” far transcends the 45’x90′ hardwood where he spends most of time….. kid comes to State green as gooseshit… finds success, finds failure, grows up and graduates and go out into the world and does things he never dreamed possible…. good and bad.

    Yep… that’s the Calvin story…. in a nutshell.

For that and the relationship he and Coach Gott have shared, he will be remembered fondly among what is a forgiving SFN….

…. on the other hand…. never mind the other hand…. why are we talking about this again….. this is Coach Cal’s problem now….

I don’t ever remember CJL sitting out the biggest games of the year due to the “flu”…multiple times.

How the mighty have fallen. From 2012 NCAA BB Champs to losing in the first round of the NIT to Robert Morris – wow!

  16. compsciwolf 03/20/2013 at 10:22 AM #

Why was Kentucky playing at Robert Morris? I thought the lower seed always played at the home of the higher seed in the NIT (until they go to New York).

^ Ashley Judd was probably having a pep rally.

Where are all those geniuses that arrogantly predicted that the State fan base would have a major meltdown when Harrow led UK to greatness?

They did win the championship with him…oh wait he sat out that year. He led a club that won the title last year to a first round NIT loss! Have the UK fans showed their true colors to him yet?

As soon as he left us we went from doormat of the ACC to Sweet 16.

Maybe a letter to the fans in Kentucky will help.

Leslie played in the game in Charlottesville sick as a dog-nearly 40 minutes. There is no comparison between the two.
