ACC Tournament Live Blog (First Round – Evening Session)

Well folks, the good guys took care of business in the first round and moves on to tomorrow to face all the Woos from Wooville, even little cindy lou woo. Since the Pack won we all are still interested in what’s going on in the tournament so let’s keep the liveblog going for the evening session. Will the evening be chalk as was the afternoon or will the underdogs put up a fight tonight and possibly beat the favorites? Since we figure we won’t face any of them if the Pack does make it to the Finals this is a total pull for a team you like or against one you absolutely hate….yes I’m looking at you twerps.

Thursday’s Schedule:
No. 8 Boston College vs. No. 9 Georgia Tech, noon (Ga. Tech -2 vs. BC)
No. 5 N.C. State vs. No. 12 Virginia Tech, 2:30 p.m. (NC State -11 vs. Va. Tech)
No. 7 Maryland vs. No. 10 Wake Forest, 7 p.m. (Maryland -5.5 vs. Wake Forest)
No. 6 Florida State vs. No. 11 Clemson, 9:30 p.m. (FSU -2.5 vs. Clemson)

Game 3: Maryland/Wake Forest

Refs: King Karl, Les Jones, Ray Natili

You People owe me for having to sit and blog on this game. First team to 40 wins, either that or 40 minutes of play.

11:06 – 13-9 Maryland

07:51 – 17-15 Maryland ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…….

03:17 – 29-25 Wake Forest

Halftime 35-30 Wake Forest

This one took a long time to get going but both finally found a grove in offense. Wake had great transition offense while forcing several turnovers from Maryland. Maryland needs to cut down on the turnovers but it’s okay by me if they keep this up.

2nd Half

Game 4: FSU/Clemson

1st Half

Honestly FSU turnovers is the only thing I see separating these two teams right now. That and FSU looks like they just don’t care. Why couldn’t you guys not care last Saturday huh?!!?!?!

    I’m hoping Marquette/ND turns out to be a good one since I’m expecting FSU/Clemson to be basically a UMd/Wake redux….

    Regarding Archer, I still gotta watch last weeks’ before I can watch tonight’s…with the tourney day I completely forgot so thanks for the reminder (pacific time gives me more leeway to get that done lol)

    A better ACC Tournament: all play-in games played on the higher seed’s home court. Quarterfinals begin on Friday on a neutral court (Greensboro, Charlotte, or wherever). Then there’s no empty seats court side like there are tonight.

    What say you?

    UMass beats George Washington 77-72 to advance in the A10. UMass probably has to make the finals or win it all to make the NCAAT.

    Clemson bailing out FSU by going 3-8 FT’s during these BS calls (well the Flagrant 1 was correct)
