(14)Miami at (19)NC State – Game Thread

Because Zo Brown is significantly hobbled, it seems BJD95 is too depressed to even have a raging semi (live blog, that is).  😀

Thus it will be the basic game thread today folks.

You know how these work.  Have at it.

Glad to see Lewis getting some extended minutes. He seems to be getting better the longer he stays in.

The officiating this year has given me heart palpitations. And typically, I’m not a ref blamer. But this year is the worst I’ve ever seen.

Looked like we fouled there and got away with it…

a glimpse of our future… WBS, Purvis and Cuz on the floor at the same time in a close game….

    could be good!

Lewis is a natural point. Give him some time and he will be a huge player for us from a leadership role. Great passer for sure but needs work on that long range jumper.

Lewis is really doing an excellent job running the show. I like it. He just needs minutes. This is good for us (and him).

Didn’t like that last shot…off ballance with nobody near.

  8. BJD95 02/02/2013 at 4:07 PM #

Yeah, Howell got all arm on the baseline.

  9. WeAreCured 02/02/2013 at 4:07 PM #

Lewis is way better than Purvis at the point. Purvis may have come into State as a combo guard, but he’s so used to playing the 2 that it shows.

Lewis is playing substantially better than he’s shown previously. Come tournament time, these minutes for him becoming more comfortable on the floor will be hugely helpful to the team’s chances of success.

    No, CJ. Just, no.

  12. GAWolf 02/02/2013 at 4:09 PM #

    Terrible jump ball call.

  13. Wulfpack 02/02/2013 at 4:09 PM #

I would rather officials let them play than call every little ticky tack. That definitely plays to our advantage this year.

  14. GAWolf 02/02/2013 at 4:10 PM #

Cured I agree that playing Lewis at teh point is much better. Then Purvis can play his natural position as well. It’s doubly good.

Once Lewis is comfortable he’ll be very Hurley-esque. Needs to get a bit of a shot though.

Lewis’ hand has been forced today. His big chance at earning more minutes when Zo comes back.

  17. wufpup76 02/02/2013 at 4:11 PM #

    Great move!

  18. Wulfpack 02/02/2013 at 4:12 PM #

    Come on guys. Sloppy.

  19. JeremyH 02/02/2013 at 4:12 PM #

Lewis don’t negate all the good things you’ve done, get this team under control.

  20. Wufpacker 02/02/2013 at 4:12 PM #

Well, can’t say the zebras aren’t letting them play.

  21. WeAreCured 02/02/2013 at 4:12 PM #

Ugh… 2 crap possessions, easy 2 for the Canes.

  22. BJD95 02/02/2013 at 4:12 PM #

WBS is night and day better than he was in Hooville. I’m very impressed.

  23. wufpup76 02/02/2013 at 4:13 PM #

Too much guys … too much. Dammit – we could’ve been up 8, instead it’s a 4 point game and their ball coming back.

32-28 Pack at the under 4:00.

  24. coach13 02/02/2013 at 4:13 PM #

Refs have missed/made on both ends…no complaints.

  25. JeremyH 02/02/2013 at 4:13 PM #

Sometimes we think we are invincible on the break and that can kill our momentum and is very risky.
