    not be be a drag but this is so lame. Not only is the video poor quality and corny, but we got beat by UNC three times last year. We haven’t beat them since 06-07. Since that ONE time, we’ve been blown out by them more times than I can count, and have even lost to Wake about as much as we have won. We have no reason to claim “This is Our State” until we can back it up. Any UNC fan that sees this must be rolling laughing at us. Can we please just play our game and not try to make these claims before they happen? I hope the best for us, and have high expectations for this season – but this is too soon.

    Ncsuallday, I respectfully could not disagree more. Beating UNC starts with confidence and swagger. It starts on the recruiting trail. Let them laugh today, but also let our guys get used to the notion that they are as good if not better than UNC.

    Do we need to back it up? Hell yeah but I rather our guys start the season saying bring it on and see what happens then just play a lower role. That vid is a call out to Duke as well.

    Hopefully we can take some pages out of their defensive play book and learn how to defend the three as well as the lane.

    This is our State!!! Poor vid quality and all!

    I like the video. It is just like the one we did with football. All we have to do now is beat UNC twice, Wake twice, Duke twice, win the ACC regular season and win the ACC tournament and then this will really be our state. Our boys better quit having defensive lapses (open threes, dunks and layups by the other team) if “our state” claim is going to come to fruition.

    Rumor has it the UNC bball players are struggling this year due to the heavy burden of having to take classes that actually exist and having to actually do their homework instead of tutors doing it for them. On top of the fact that agents and agent runners are now being monitored it is also rumored the players are depressed cause they are not getting the fancy cars and jewelry like prior UNC players. With the program in turmoil, I feel we should beat UNC twice this year!

    I love the slogan. Hell unc has claimed the entire state for years. It’s time we take it back. I like it in part bc unc fans hate it. If they hate it we are doing something right

    Lame for all the reasons mentioned above.

    Our marketing person needs to be canned.

    Poor quality, homemade appearance and has nothing to do with reality.

    They played this at the Miami game and we lost it. I love Scott Wood. He ain’t goin to the NBA…but I love him.

    I’d vote for him if he ran for Congress.

    I think that we need to go in the direction of bringing a legacy back. Instead of vacuous claims about NC being our state; make a video showing the progression of our program when it really was our state to claim, and have the video touch on how this is a a program with heritage that is being brought back. People forget that we have two National Championships – remind them, and let them know that have the drive to take another one.

    Like that moron Rasheed Wallace screams during NBA games, “ball don’t lie”, and neither do stats:

    In football, since 2000, we own the state of NC. Since 2000, of all D-1 schools, STATE ranks #54 in winning percentage. Of the other NC schools, Wake is #60, ECU is #75, UNC is #82 and Duke sucks.

    So, regardless of record vs UNC, Wake, Duke and ECU, STATE has the stronger football program.

    Other than football, we own bass fishing … and that’s about it

    Time for Deb to turn the tide

    ncsuallday, claiming it is our state is more than just wins/losses to UNC. Let’s see:

    – greatest player in ACC history (DT – NCSU)
    – largest school in NC (NCSU)
    – greatest sports moment in NC history (83′ NCAA – NCSU)
    – responsible for big time college BB (Case – NCSU)
    – most avid (not whine and cheese) fans in the state (NCSU)
    – coach V’s legacy through the V foundation
    – coach yow – hall of fame – Gold Olympic medal
    – and most importantly, best tailgating party in the state (NCSU)

    Still think it is not OUR STATE?
