Our rushing numbers, which aren’t bad at 145.3 ypg, are being skewed by sacks. Our top two RBs are averaging a healthy 4.4 and 5.3 ypc respectively.

In the stat game, 2 things jump out. Take care of turnovers and the kickoff return game and you have a huge difference in the result.

On on-field play, we have to stop the explosive plays. Those three, overall, are the keys.

Our 2 safeties lead the whole team in tackles. That’s probably not a good thing.

And SEVEN fumbles by Glennon. Only 2 lost but wow, they’ve GOT to protect that guy.

    ” 3rd Down Efficiency Defense – 5″

    I would say that’s a big reason we’re 4-2 right now.

Yea – we have some interesting numbers…you can kind of see why TOB likes this team.

21st in Time of possession, good rating on 3rd down D and TO’s generated.

As I have harped on in games vs. Miami and UT – the TO’s for NC State – are very uncharacteristic. Hopefully, the FSU game marked a turning of the corner.

We’ll see. If we stop turning the ball over – and reduce the big plays – we’ll have a great season. If not, the best we’re looking at is 4-4 in conference….and if we turn it over like we have in the majority of our big games, that in itself is miraculous .

Stats can be deceiving. And yet, as chop says, “you can kind of see why TOB likes this team.”
