Character matters
We can’t play a guy that’s going to drop footballs,” said Shurmur.
And Shurmur’s not amused by Little’s Usain Bolt poses when the Browns are losing and he’s not being productive. During Sunday’s loss to Buffalo, Little caught two passes for 17 yards and “Bolted” after a 17-yarder that was wiped out by a holding call. He also did the Bolt in Cincinnati and danced in the end zone after his TD while the Browns were losing.
“I can’t speak for everyone else, but I’ve had my conversations with him about that. That can be said. Now whether people see me ranting and raving on the sideline at a player – trust me, I have my conversations with him.”
Shurmur hinted that he’ll make changes at receiver if Little doesn’t turn it around soon. He dropped a clutch third-down pass to kill a drive and drew the ire of Shurmur and receivers coach Mike Wilson. Another one went through his hands and was caught by Josh Gordon. Little also dropped one at the goal-line against the Eagles that might have gone for a TD.
