Sweet Sixteen, Thursday Edition

Wisconsin and Syracuse will thoroughly bore us until Louisville and Michigan State tip off (a slight improvement). The nightcaps are more compelling, with Ohio State/Cincy (upset alert) and Florida/Marquette (guards aplenty).

Of course, since our game is Friday’s last, we are assured of being one of the last nine teams playing. Who would have ever imagined…

The defender had seven inches on that little white dude. Just wait and block the shot!

“Wisconsin is running Herb’s end of game offense it seems.”

‘OK guys, let’s run the ‘tight sphincter flex’ on three!’

    Be afraid of success!

Cuse has the arrow. Just inbound to good foul shooter and wait for the hack OR the jump ball.

^ That. Beat me to it.

my god is there anything worse than big 10 basketball. oh yeh, watching a big 10 team playing a cuse zone.

  6. GAWolf 03/22/2012 at 8:46 PM #

I swear to God… Herb Sendek drew up Wisconsin’s end of game plays. Every damned one of them.

  7. BJD95 03/22/2012 at 8:47 PM #

Down 1, 15 seconds. Wiscy gets off a 35-foot contested three. Yeah, that set is HWSNBN’s equivalent of porn.

That last play by Wisconsin was turrible.

  9. wufpup76 03/22/2012 at 8:47 PM #

    Wow! Herb-esque!

  10. MrPlywood 03/22/2012 at 8:48 PM #

Good lord that Wiscy “effort” was pathetic.

  11. Wulfpack 03/22/2012 at 8:49 PM #

Credit the Cuse zone. Nearly impossible to penetrate, and all the lanes were covered up the last 5 minutes.

  12. MrPlywood 03/22/2012 at 8:50 PM #

Herb is going to canvas Ryan later.

  13. GAWolf 03/22/2012 at 8:50 PM #

‘Cuse is a bunch of a BALLAZZ. It doesn’t really shock me that they grow weed in their lockers.

  14. CaptainCraptacular 03/22/2012 at 8:52 PM #

I don’t know what you guys were watching. Cuse-Wisconsin was a very good game. MSU and Louisville is the unwatchable game.

I feel like I need to adjust the color on my TV looking at Louisville’s uniforms. It looks like glowing orange to me. What’s up with that?

  16. Wulfpack 03/22/2012 at 9:04 PM #

Yes, this Louisville game is brutal. May be an early night for me.

  17. BJD95 03/22/2012 at 9:07 PM #

If Louisville and Baylor square off, I swear to God I will have a seizure.

  18. wufpup76 03/22/2012 at 9:10 PM #

Yeesh, Sparty looks terrible. This game is terrible.

    Louisville-Marquette regional final? Ick.

  19. wufpup76 03/22/2012 at 9:11 PM #

Should Louisville hang on, Marquette win, and Cincy surprise Ohio St. – that would be two all Big East regional finals.

    Heaven help us.

  20. BJD95 03/22/2012 at 9:12 PM #

No sleep! The late games should be good. I really think Cincy will beat Ohio State.

  21. wufpup76 03/22/2012 at 9:17 PM #

A classic ‘WTF?!’ from Izzo on national tv. Awesome.

  22. BJD95 03/22/2012 at 9:19 PM #

And State/Carolina would be all-ACC. Have there ever been three same conference regional final matchups in the same tourney? I have to think not.

  23. Wulfpack 03/22/2012 at 9:19 PM #

I also think Cincy has something for tOSU. Playing awfully good basketball right now.

  24. Hawkeye Whitney 03/22/2012 at 9:22 PM #

Apparently, the Louisville unis are called “infra-red”‘, lightweight and made by Adidas. Just weird, but since they won, expect them to make another appearance. By the way, I just saw a bluejay, and he was yellow!

  25. Hawkeye Whitney 03/22/2012 at 9:32 PM #

Figured K would be sitting at the table. Instead it’s Shaka. How can all the best coaches not have a game to coach right now?
