Sweet Sixteen, Thursday Edition

Wisconsin and Syracuse will thoroughly bore us until Louisville and Michigan State tip off (a slight improvement). The nightcaps are more compelling, with Ohio State/Cincy (upset alert) and Florida/Marquette (guards aplenty).

Of course, since our game is Friday’s last, we are assured of being one of the last nine teams playing. Who would have ever imagined…

This is a terrible game for finding a rooting interest. Syracuse is covered in filth, but I really, really hate the way Wisconsin plays and don’t want to watch them again on Saturday.

Hurry up and tip off already, Sparty.

I can hardly wait until the Orangemen are in the ACC. The rest of a lifetime would be too soon for me — I simply loathe that program.

Gack, watching Wiscy play is painful.

Only insomniacs will be able to watch all of these games tonight. I can’t believe they don’t start at 6 at least.

    Why is Louisville wearing orange?

    Lou/MichSt on a Pac-12 scoring pace.

I had to be careful with a longtime friend of mine last Saturday night. His youngest daughter is a recent Syracuse grad and both of us are BB freaks(he and I went to the 69 regionals and the 70 Final Four together). She’s out and working in NY now and he was crushed that his Harvard Crimson lost…

I can stand Boeheim! All we need is another whining coach!

Louisville being dressed in Syracuse’s road jerseys is seriously confusing me — I forget which game I am watching.

My tinfoil hat and I firmly believe Louisville and Baylor are involved in a joint conspiracy to cause my TV to explode.

I’m just sad Pitino hasn’t broken out his Colonel Sanders suit in the tourney.

I also have highly caffeinated to make it through all four games. Consider it a dry run for tomorrow. I need to work in a nap tomorrow, somehow.

Jardine carries the ball every time he dribbles. His hand is on the bottom of the ball as much as the top.

BJD. If you need a nap tomorrow just dvr these games and put one on around lunchtime.

Wiscy on fire against the zone.

Mich St. – Louisville extra brutal.

  14. BJD95 03/22/2012 at 8:23 PM #

I’m tempted to fire up the episode of “Community” I DVR’d earlier tonight.

Wiscy suddenly unconscious from long range (again).

  16. BJD95 03/22/2012 at 8:30 PM #

Badgers literally chucking a three on every possession. And playing zero defense.

  17. GAWolf 03/22/2012 at 8:30 PM #

We also watch Community. Good show.

OMD I also got confused so I had to quit switching back and forth. Those Louisville uniforms are silly.

Wiscy not taking any shots but threes … Looks like they might shoot themselves out of the tournament (or maybe to the regional final).

Finally cooling off … Need to attack the zone.

  19. GAWolf 03/22/2012 at 8:33 PM #

I liked Izzo’s statement starting the second half: “Some of those guys who are hitting threes, well, if they’re going to hit them we’re going to lose because that’s how we’re going to play them.”

Louisville’s center hit the first three of the year but more importantly his career.

I just started watching Community this year (as with Arrested Development, I was behind the curve). Eagerly waiting for Netflix to stream the first two seasons. Until then, catching up on “Mad Men” when bored at work.

There’s the Bo Ryan ‘Angry Rhino’ face.

  22. BJD95 03/22/2012 at 8:36 PM #

You also will never convince me that Bo Ryan hasn’t hunted humans for sport.

  23. wufpup76 03/22/2012 at 8:38 PM #

    Turrrrible foul by Keita.

  24. wufpup76 03/22/2012 at 8:38 PM #

    ^^Lollllll

Wisconsin is running Herb’s end of game offense it seems.
