    I agree the feeling is back! The team and coaches (Gottfather and Co are just a great fit for a school who LOVES passionate coaches) are really making it for us.

    On a side note, pay attention to Calvin because we are likely not going to see him next year.

    Listening on the radio and SDSU is at the podium … It’s pretty painful to listen too.

    When the losing team calls off the dogs, it’s very disrespectful not to do the same. Out of character for CJW and I’m sure it was an overexcited impulse thing. It was a good, clean game and I expect sportsmanship to prevail.

    That was my impression too. I would prefer that it not happen, but I’m not going to let it color the whole game.

    I can’t believe it – The Bearded Monster got only TWO rebounds. Of course, he was 10 of 12 shooting which helped keep his Rs down with no putbacks. WHAT A GAME for him! And I think it’s a tremendous contrast between this team early in the season and the toughness it has now!

    CJW is a senior and this has been a long time coming… plus he’s struggled as of late offensively (as we are all aware) so I say cut him some slack.

    Seriously…with all the last minute dunks we’ve suffered at the hands of unx I frankly am embarrassed someone from WPN could even THINK this!!!!

    What about the showboat last play by SDSU where the SDSU guy tired to bounce his own bank off the backboard for a slam (which he missed).

    I can give CJW a pass on this one, as much as I’d like to have seen us just run out the clock after SDSU acknowledged it was over.

    CJW played one heck of a game, maybe he didn’t score much but then neither did Franklin AND that was mucho important for us to win. Give him a break, he probably didn’t realize that SDSU had backed off. That guy would never do anything to embarrass WPN, You know that is true.

    CJW is a senior playing in his 1st tourney game. It’s one thing to call off the dogs, it’s another for the dogs to not even cross half court with 18 seconds remaining and play a modicum of defense. It didn’t sit well with me at first, but I’m actually ok with it.

    Congrats to the players and coaches (and congrats to the Nation!)! Looking sooooo forward to Sunday!

    It was one minor act, I’m not saying CJW is a thug, he’s done the right thing 99.9% of the time, this is just that .1%, and in a minor way. Not a huge deal, but was still wrong.

    Just because the other side does it isn’t an excuse.

    I got this redemptive, told ya so type feeling about people seeing us play in a fairly officiated contest.
