I know he’s completely unproven but historically if you dominate at Oak Hill at PG then you will play as a freshmen

Seth Davis is trying to jump on the State bandwagon. Sorry bitch, no room for you. You have badmouthed us for too may years. Go back to praising your beloved Dookies.

“Rick you think Zo will be better, or our possessions with Lewis at point?”

Actually with Purvis and Warren we will have two guys who can shoot and score. They are both tough going to the rim. IMO that will be the difference. Lewis might help there too.

This further illustrates why Hess et.al. need to be taken behind the building and bludgeoned with a pickax.

Apparently he said our game was an elimination game and should not be watched.

IMO this is one of the best played games I have seen so far.

The score reflects the quality of play – by the “eye test” we’ve been about 4 points better. With zero offense from Woo or CJW, that’s very impressive. Solid defense and rebounding after the TO.

I may not get over the fact that we actually just saw two refs conversing about a charge/block call prior to making the call.

  8. old13 03/16/2012 at 1:12 PM #

I REALLY like these refs! They communicate. You hardly notice them. And they are CONSISTENT at both ends of the floor! Take a lesson Swoffart!

I just hope that Wood starts hitting. He has been playing some good D. And as long as CJW keeps contributing with that good D and not turning the ball over, I don’t care if he scores or not.

Rick thats a good point about having shooters that will hopefully be able to create off the dribble. Let us hope we can extend this lead in the second so I won’t stroke out

Rick – He thinks Belmont will make S16…ehh…I guess you have to pick an upset somewhere.

  11. Sweet jumper 03/16/2012 at 1:14 PM #

He did, and then at the half he was singing our praises and even talking about our incoming class, especially Purvis(“a guy a lot of people want”). He has been negative about us since HWSNBN chose to run to the desert.

Well burger boys withstanding, just Gott to win this with Sids motley crew

  13. vtpackfan 03/16/2012 at 1:16 PM #

Zero offensive production from Woo and CJ in big games seems recursive

  14. Rick 03/16/2012 at 1:17 PM #

    Davis is a putz.

I am also amazed at how enjoyable basketball can be when the refs are no the center of attention.

I also do not expect to get screwed out of the game like I do in ACC games so it is easier to just enjoy the game knowing we either win or lose.

  15. beeeejay 03/16/2012 at 1:17 PM #

honestly though has CJ every really been a big offense guy this year. I seem to recall only open fastbreak layups and the occasional jumper

  16. Rick 03/16/2012 at 1:18 PM #

Woo will be sitting on the bench next year watching TJ if he plays like this.

  17. Rick 03/16/2012 at 1:18 PM #

BTW I think Cincinatti wins at best one game. Did you see them in their championship game? choke

  18. vtpackfan 03/16/2012 at 1:19 PM #

Though in CJs behalf he has got Rich wide open ay the top of the key. Assists that don’t show up

  19. beeeejay 03/16/2012 at 1:20 PM #

That was gripping tv there fellas

  20. TheAliasTroll 03/16/2012 at 1:21 PM #

Need wood to get it going 2nd half

  21. Lunatic Fringe 03/16/2012 at 1:21 PM #

Two fouls on Shelton tells me we are probably going to be playing a lot of 4 guard sets coming up in 2nd half.

  22. wufpup76 03/16/2012 at 1:22 PM #

CJW is still the glue guy regardless of not scoring.

He provides leadership and sets the example by doing any dirty little thing needed. Setting screens can be a lost art (especially for the Pack).

  23. JohnGalt78 03/16/2012 at 1:22 PM #

    How many team fouls each?

  24. BJD95 03/16/2012 at 1:22 PM #

I think halftime breaks are longer this year, too. Seems like we should have resumed play like 5 mins ago.

  25. Rick 03/16/2012 at 1:22 PM #

Howell with zero fouls. See what happens when you call the game and not the “tendencies”?
