Afternoon/Evening Bubble Watch

Oregon State leads Washington inside of 40 seconds left. Alabama has choked up a big lead and is tied with lowly South Carolina.

Feeling now like tomorrow’s tilt with the Hoos will be our play-in game.

Northwestern certainly earned this loss. What a colossal bed-shitting.

  2. MrPlywood 03/08/2012 at 8:09 PM #

    NW out.

  3. wufpup76 03/08/2012 at 8:12 PM #

    NW goes down!

One field goal over 12 minutes. #HerbBall

Of course, Uva had 4 field goals against us in an entire half and yet *somehow* won.

Anyhoo, Minny played without Ralph Sampson and NW got one of their key players back.

    Yay for us.

Yeah Gophers!!! now what do the pundits have to say?

  5. beeeejay 03/08/2012 at 8:13 PM #

feel bad for NW kinda and hope that we would be in over them now but in all honesty if it comes down to it I would have to say f*** em if it is us then them, maybe that makes me a bad guy

NW out. Now root for Colorado (Over Oregon), Texas, and Miami.

Looks more and more like Gott and the boys are going to be dancing in March, but got to beat UVA. We can!

  8. AppPack14 03/08/2012 at 8:15 PM #

I felt a little dirty rooting against a program that hasn’t gone to the NCCA tourney in half a century, but I think it only helps the Pack, so thanks Golden Gophers! Looking forward to the UVA game tomorrow…with each bubble loss in our favor the game just looms larger and larger. If I were a betting man I’d take State tomorrow. I think Gott & co. will get it done.

  9. STLPack01 03/08/2012 at 8:19 PM #

And root for Notre Dame to beat South Florida tomorrow.

All the feel good energy in this room make it a perfect time for NC State Sheeeeeeeit to strike us down, just be prepared

But I just had one thought amidst all this bubble banter: let’s just go out and win the dadgum tournament and call it a day. I think I’d like to see another banner hanging from the rafters.

Coach Gott from his post-game presser: “For us, the answer is to continue to win, and I don’t know if that’s one game, two games, three games. I know if we win this tournament, we get to go. And our guys have come over here, and that’s our goal — to win the tournament.”

    Let’s go get ’em!

It’s OK to enjoy the moment beeeeej. It’s not your fault.

I cheered for the Mildcats (Karma), but they lost and deserved it. So I don’t have to feel guilty. Win-win.

    Colorado State definitely in.

Pac 12 was pencilled in for two bids, if Cal doesn’t lose tonight (they get at-large bid otherwise), best if they win out.

Don’t forget to cheer for Georgia against Mississippi State. They can’t absorb another bad loss.

Oh I am enjoying actually even being in this discussion since my time in school I was rewarded with the beginning and end of Lowe’s tenure, I have also been a state fan long enough to have the fear of bed-sh*tting in the back of my mind at all moments

I hear ya, man. Les was the head coach all four years I was at State. Talk about sucking out loud…

Let a new era, and a new tradition begin in NC State men’s basketball! Go Pack!

so, are the officials who altered their uni’s going to be reprimanded by the ACC? They most definitely violated an ACC rule by altering their uniforms. we need a response from the ACC

Luckily I’m only 24 so I don’t remember Les’ teams but also extremely sad that the highlight years I have are from Herb, but at least both my parents were here in 74 and were there to tell me the history. Will be nice as we start this new era of a** kicking

  20. mak4dpak 03/08/2012 at 9:17 PM #

BJD95, wasn’t sure if your statement about Les sucking out loud was referring to his coaching, or his coat! It was rather loud! Ha! Ha!

  21. BJD95 03/08/2012 at 9:30 PM #

Hope VPI keeps this up against the Devils tomorrow. Looking pretty focused and dangerous.

Speaking of loud fashion choices, pretty sure Louisville’s unis are going to break my TV.

  22. 61Packer 03/08/2012 at 10:02 PM #

Speaking of Looahville, was that Hess reffing?

  23. lawful 03/08/2012 at 10:08 PM #

I’m sorry, who are we supposed to be rooting for/against now?

  24. JeremyH 03/08/2012 at 10:18 PM #

against South Florida. I guess we’re supposed to root for Miami tonight to boost our RPI, but since they are on the bubble also I’m not sure.

last time I went to an ACC Tourney in Atlanta, we took home the hardware and never looked back… Back in the day, GA Tech was the farthest school south and the whole ACC had to come back up I-85 out of Atl to get home. There was some major trash talking going on driving home…
