Full Madness Arroval – NCAAT Thursday

Those of you lucky enough to be off work or wise enough to have scheduled a minor medical procedure (like me)…be ready to turn on your TVs in five minutes. They won’t get any more rest today. Colorado State and Murray State will get us started. Woohoo!!

Seth Davis would defend the indefensible status quo. I have never, ever seen that call made. And I watch a metric shit ton of basketball.

Well, ok on the lane violation, but even the National Coordinator of Officials for the NCAA Tournament saying that the call on the ball that flew off the SU player out of bounds was a “headscratcher.”

Later he said that it was a bad call.

It was only one of several blown calls. Remember that the announcing crew pointed out a couple of them before both events.

But they too are sore losers to question the officials.

    “metric shit ton of basketball”

    that’s a lot of basketball 🙂

I’m on the ESPN conversation for that game and the last 1000+ posts have all been about the officiating and the game being rigged. Syracuse just proved they are, quite possibly, the worst #1 seed ever and desperately needed the zebra’s help to scratch out a win. Just shameful.

The end game scenario there was exactly like what I’ve felt many times watching the blews. The underdog is scratching and clawing, making the hustle plays they have to make, and the refs appear to make EVERY effort to make the calls benefitting the favorite. 50/50 calls get turned into 90/10 calls.

On the OB play, the ref clearly anticipated and made a horrible call. It reminded me of Corch v G’town, or Marshall v AJ.

SYR on their heels, poor pass, UNCA makes a hustle play in good position and… WHAT?

Ashville just latest bunch of sore losers.

  7. BJD95 03/15/2012 at 5:54 PM #

If Billy Packer is watching…he might have to update his “worst call in NCAAT history.” That sideline out of bounds call…there’s simply no rational explanation. Unless all three refs were on acid or on the take…somebody HAD to see that.

  8. MrPlywood 03/15/2012 at 5:55 PM #

What ever happened to over-ruling another ref?

  9. BJD95 03/15/2012 at 5:56 PM #

To top it off, Long Beach is going down to spoil my bracket. Ugh!!

At least all the bad juju is getting out of the universe’s system today. Hopefully.

Only people with a loser’s mentality would click the below link:

I’ve been doing this for 216 years and I’m more intelligent than you. I have the utmost respect from everyone and I’m a lawyer. Again, I have experience and intelligence, not to mention unsurpassed and unlimited knowledge. I am pretty much God compared to you. You’re just a whiny sore loser and are bitter about it. People who listen to me are intelligent and gain all of their insight from my unrivaled wisdom.

I also coined such great catchphrases as “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire!”. My wife is lovely and talented. Yours is fat and ugly and no match. Again, I possess many God-like qualities as compared to you.

    Buy my magazine.

I’m watching the VCU – Smart special on their fame last year. After watching Smart in practice, speeches etc. I am confident we came out better with the Gottfather. I didn’t drink the Smart Kool Aid (although he will do well through the years) and I am So, so, so, so, so glad we actually landed an experienced coach (but not old) and staff.

Thank you for snubbing us Smart. I wish you good luck of course but am thankful you chose to skip Raleigh.

    GoPack and the Gottfather!!!!

Wuf76…you got the Cowdog barkin’ on that take. Go sik’em boy.

    ^Woof woof.

Love the way WKU is attacking Kentucky. Probably won’t last, but still very entertaining.

@wufpup – did i miss something? did this guy write something negative about State earlier?

  16. redcanine 03/15/2012 at 7:04 PM #

I think he’s imitating one of those radio d-bags. It was pretty funny.

    @MrPlywood –

No – That blog (The Dagger run by Jeff Eisenberg) is one of the more even-handed out there. In fact, their take was very pro-State and anti-ref during/after the Hole game.

My take was solely centered around “as if David Glenn” was giving you that link. His schtick and that of other local media over the last week has been routinely outwitted by their national media / blogger counterparts.

That link backs up what most sane and reasonable people see with their own eyes. But in David Glenn world you’re being a sore loser.

    If that makes sense …

  18. MrPlywood 03/15/2012 at 7:10 PM #

    perfectly… thx… 🙂

LOL – perfect comment about the article: “A Chris Chase article that is concise and accurate. Looks like that game resulted in a miracle after all.”

  19. Dogbreath 03/15/2012 at 7:42 PM #

I’d rather watch Ryan Kelly and Rosanne Barr copulate than watch VCU play ball. There is literally a dead ball every 20 seconds. Unwatchable.

  20. vtpackfan 03/15/2012 at 7:43 PM #

Atleast we know the Lobos were no MWC powerhouse if they couldn’t handle their business vs LBSt. Makes me feel a tiny bit better showdown at noontime.

  21. wufpup76 03/15/2012 at 7:45 PM #

    S. Dakota St. > Baylor.

  22. BJD95 03/15/2012 at 7:49 PM #

The Jackrabbits look pretty impressive early on. Baylor’s kinda like Florida State – Forrest Gump’ box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.

Well, except for a headache from looking at their uniforms.

  23. vtpackfan 03/15/2012 at 7:49 PM #

I’m no Shaka hater but if folks last year didnt see that hitting near 50% from behind the arc on their Cinderella run wasn’t a severe spike of the Kool Aid than not much will.

  24. redcanine 03/15/2012 at 7:55 PM #

    Where’s the athleticism from Baylor?

  25. Wufpacker 03/15/2012 at 8:02 PM #

    Ha! Still perfect, b*tches!

WVU and Wichita St. looking very much in doubt at this point, however.

    I missed UNCA game…bad huh?
