Full Madness Arroval – NCAAT Thursday

Those of you lucky enough to be off work or wise enough to have scheduled a minor medical procedure (like me)…be ready to turn on your TVs in five minutes. They won’t get any more rest today. Colorado State and Murray State will get us started. Woohoo!!

Refs taking over the Syracuse/UNC-A game.

  2. Alpha Wolf 03/15/2012 at 5:11 PM #

The referees might as well tell Eddie Biedenbach that “we’re not going to let your team win.”

  3. BJD95 03/15/2012 at 5:12 PM #

Once again, Elmore doing a fine job in real time pointing it out. Len for commish??

  4. wufpup76 03/15/2012 at 5:12 PM #

Odds that a lane violation is called if Triche misses a free throw?

  5. RabidWolf 03/15/2012 at 5:13 PM #

Full on hose job on UNCA….. This is robbery.

  6. RabidWolf 03/15/2012 at 5:14 PM #

UNCA SHOULD HAVE MADE HISTORY TODAY!

  7. wufpup76 03/15/2012 at 5:14 PM #

Give everybody a fair shot. WTF is wrong with that?

Unless you’re David Glenn. Then it’s about better products like Chapel hole, Duke and Syracuse.

That lane violation is one of the worst calls ever. Ever.

  8. MrPlywood 03/15/2012 at 5:15 PM #

Good lord the refs in the UNCA/SYR game just hosed UNCA royally. 3 bad calls that I saw in just the last two minutes alone. The non-call on Dickie’s layup, the “lane violation”, and the out of bounds play… holy crap.

  9. rky 03/15/2012 at 5:15 PM #

Goodness, did UNC-A ever get SCREWED out of a game. Truly a pathetic job by the refs. Gotta feel for those guys . . . disgusting

Syracuse does not deserve it. The refs completely took over this game. I guess they know that Eddie is a State legend:). I hope the national outcry is now heaped upon our rape job in ACCT and something is done on a national level, since our biased commissioner will not do s&*t on the ACC level.

  11. BJD95 03/15/2012 at 5:16 PM #

WHy did they try to give him 3 FTs? The fix is already finished, guys. Good Lord. This crew shouldn’t be working high school games. Swoffy and Clougherty making sure they are in the 2013 ACC rotation.

    Let’s ask Joe.

  13. MrPlywood 03/15/2012 at 5:16 PM #

As far as I’m concerned the out of bounds call wasn’t a foul either, as the UNCA player had inside position. Horrible.

    Awkward interview of the year.

  15. vtpackfan 03/15/2012 at 5:17 PM #

Boeheim is as queer as the day is long.

  16. MrPlywood 03/15/2012 at 5:17 PM #

Oh, and tack on the 5 second violation on Syracuse that did not get called, of course they got the TO.

  17. Sweet jumper 03/15/2012 at 5:18 PM #

I hope Barkley says, “that was just tuuurrrible!”

  18. rky 03/15/2012 at 5:20 PM #

there were plenty of bad calls by the refs today but 3 really stood out: the non-call on the obvious goal tending, the horrible lane violation call and the missed out of bounds call near the end where Syracuse got the ball back even though it came NOWHERE near going out on the UNC-A player. Truly one of the worst officiated games I’ve witnessed.

ESPN commentators on Twitter are calling out the refs for UNCA-SU as well.

  20. BJD95 03/15/2012 at 5:21 PM #

I hope K State kicks their f-cking teeth in on Saturday. Good Lord. Or it will at least be entertaining when the refs try to take over. Frank Martin might literally kill someone.

    That would be good TV.

  21. Rick 03/15/2012 at 5:22 PM #

That was an awful series of calls. NCSU is a former NCSU coach. Coincidence?

  22. MrPlywood 03/15/2012 at 5:22 PM #

I’m pretty sure I have SYR losing in the 2nd round in all my brackets….

  23. BJD95 03/15/2012 at 5:23 PM #

Was Hess the third ref in that crew? He worked the first game in Pittsburgh, for sure. Whoever it was…they have to be shelved for the rest of the tourney, at minimum.

  24. wufpup76 03/15/2012 at 5:24 PM #

Seth Davis touting the lane violation as correct. But really, you call that at that juncture? Call it every time if you’re going to call it then.

    Jesus.

  25. Alpha Wolf 03/15/2012 at 5:26 PM #

“ESPN commentators on Twitter are calling out the refs for UNCA-SU as well.”

If UNC-Asheville put the same quality on the court that Syracuse did, they would have won. UNC-A’s fans and all the national commentators are sore losers.
