    I’m not blaming this loss on the refs, I’m simply stating it would be nice if the refs didn’t give Clemson 5 points in the 1st half.

    Oh plenty of others missed from the line as well. Leslie all day, Howell, and Brown too. This was a team effort of suck.

    Geez. I apologize. Obviously god is trying to get me to properly prioritize my life yet I still watch us play basketball. It’s stupid for me to expect anything different than what happened.

    Bull crap. We played about 10 minutes of that game hard. If we had played hard the entire game we would have won.
    Nothing torques me off like half hearted effort and this team is doing it way too much.

    Hate to say it, but I have to agree. Games like today is when you need to find something that works and hope it pulls you thru. Gott found it, then put a stop to is. Bad choice.

    I for one hate it but then I remember when we were good. Maybe that is what is wrong with me.

    That is why we lost. Despite the missed FTs, if we see more AJ and Painter and less of W then we win this game.

    We should sit the bench until a player drops from exhaustion.

    Damn, don’t know how to win, and no will to do it.

    One true senior on the team and he can’t hit a one and one with a chance to ice it. Disappointing, free throws killed us.

    Wood is in a slump and not playing well. He’ll get over it at some point. However, he plays basketball for the NC State Wolfpack so can we please refrain from referring to him as a “useless hunk of flesh” or any other ridiculous put downs.

    Maybe UVA beating UNC will make me feel better. Not going to happen this year watching our guys I’m affraid.

    Same story. Too many turnovers (13), many of them unforced. Clemson doesn’t overplay, doesn’t pressure, and takes the air out. 13 is the equivalent of 20+. Poor free throw shooting down the stretch. Some guys hit for average when nobody’s on base, some guys can’t hit it with a boat orr with somebody on base. Greased beabies. Complete culture change gonna take some time. This team hit their ceiling relatively early. Clemson is every bit as good a team, probably an overachiever, but every bit as good. We didn’t improve much once ACC play began. Leslie picked up his game and that’s about it.

    I definitely agree about not playing AJ more. He’s a spark plug.

    Rick, when our energy was meh, I thought it was more being slow and/or tired, not lazy. I could be wrong.

    This was an even matchup, and we did all the little things wrong. That adds up to a loss. So be it.

    Rick:

    I just believe in fairness and earning outcomes. They earned the L. It wouldn’t have been right for them to win with that effort from the line.

    Of all of their problems, it’s easily the most frustrating and unforgivable. A 7 year old could have performed better from the stripe.

    I hate these early games. Now I’ll spend the rest of the afternoon pissed off. It’ll be on my mind until I can find some way to rationalize this loss, but it’s worthless to try to find an excuse. We’re simply not that good.

    Been awhile since I have gotten so angry at a game. Stupidity! We blew it, and when the game is on the line our starters who are supposed to be good free throw shooters suck. Williams and Brown gave that one away. I am still pissed, only relief is knowing UVA is ahead of UNX @ the half, Maybe that game will turn out in UVAs favor.
