Pack/Canes Game Thread

As was the Wake contest last weekend, this will be a “treadmill game” for me. I will join you in the comments for the second half, but hopefully my first half running will provide similar good luck.

NC State is in a three game “house money” stretch. Well, sort of. Going 0-for-3 wouldn’t be good – but one win is all we really need to hold serve and be well on track for a winning record in ACC play – which is the sensible goal for the 2011-12 Wolfpack.

CJ Williams will apparently give it a go today, which is huge for us. Hard to beat anybody with just a 6-man playable rotation. I like today being a test case for him – if he can’t play much or is exceptionally sore afterwards, I expect him to be held out until next Saturday’s pivotal contest against UVA. But that is just my opinion, and I’m sure tons of people will bitch about it some more. Free country and whatnot.

    No foul on CJ’s shot?

  10. ncsu4life1 01/22/2012 at 2:25 PM #

Lorenzo brown misses more layups than anyone in the country. As a team we have to lead the nation in missed layups.

Big five point swing in our favor. We will survive the run.

Exaggerate much? Zo doesn’t even miss as many layups as Howell?

  15. lush 01/22/2012 at 2:26 PM #

    No foul??

  16. Wulfpack 01/22/2012 at 2:27 PM #

Our defense stinks right now. Layups. Not boxing out. Getting beat on dribble. Come on!

  17. ncsu4life1 01/22/2012 at 2:27 PM #

Your right Howell misses twice as many layups.

  18. Rick 01/22/2012 at 2:27 PM #

    Go clock go

  19. BJD95 01/22/2012 at 2:27 PM #

Larkin and Kadji are good. The rest of their teams sucks donkey balls.

“Lorenzo brown misses more layups ”

If Brown works on his shot, he will be unstoppable. He’s only a sophomore, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed he can improve there.

  22. Rick 01/22/2012 at 2:29 PM #

For every good play we then make a bone head one.

Arg they are driving me nuts.

    But I love it

  23. MrPlywood 01/22/2012 at 2:29 PM #

Some bad fouls on State’s part. Fatigue? Discipline?

  24. BJD95 01/22/2012 at 2:29 PM #

Lo Brown breaks the press easily and finds Wood for open three. Perfect execution.

Then Painter commits really stupid foul.

We got to learn to have that killer instinct, and put the nails in the coffin. The score should not be this close, with Miami still no higher than 44% shooting in the second half, which wouldn’t qualify for lights out.
