NCSU and BC game thread

It is BC. They have been pretty bad but were able to beat VT and Clemson. I hope we play more like we did against Wake than GT.

Good win for the Pack; Leslie’s problem was again cramping per the N&O; hope Williams’ injury is not serious…

looks like Strickland of UNC just popped his ALC. Is he any good?

    Strickland is their “defensive guy”.

There’s been major debate amongst Hole fans about playing Strickland over Bullock. Non-starter, now I guess. That’s really unfortunate. Hate to hear that.

If we lose Williams, we’re losing a ton. If the Holes lose Strickland it does change the dynamic of their team, but they replace him with Bullock. Depth is something else.

If we have indeed lost Williams for any time I’d like to see Harris get some more time. I really like starting Lo at point, but I don’t see another option other than starting AJ. I’ve got a little more confidence in AJ than others, but we lose SO much if we lose Williams for any time.

And John Saunders just said we were an ‘automatic win’ for the Holes on their court. He might be right, but it sure would be awesome to prove him wrong.

Note that my comment about Strickland is based on my own observation on seeing his knee bend in an unnatural way and him not being able to put any weight on it afterwards.

So sad to see the Holes wake up. I want our max effort against Miami – that’s a more winnable game. Don’t want us to come out flat for that because we are looking ahead to the Nose Dome visit.

I liked #5 for BC (Caudill). He reminded me of my guy Kitley. A meat and potatoes, lunch pail player. The ACC was built on the backs of guys like that.

Was at the game all the way from Fayetteville, and it was another great ACC win, yet it really irritates me to see all the empty seats in the RBC, that are supposed to have State fans in them. Supporting the team means showing up for games, or giving your ticket to someone else who will. Show the guys some respect and come to the games if you truly are a fan.

I was at the game and I thought the crowd was ok for a thursday night 8pm game against BC.

Someone asked about the tech on Howell…he got mauled going for a rebound, and as he started down the court said something to the ref. He wasnt animated or anything but probably told him that “he thinks he stinks”! Coach Gott actually gave Howell a pat on the butt when he sat him down after that, so it couldnt have been that bad. 🙂

At one point , #31 from BC was chasing Wood around and elbowing him right and left, with Wood just standing there. They did call a foul on #31, but then went and talked to Wood?? Wish I knew what was said there. Someone in my area made a comment that #31 looked like he skipped his ADHD meds!
