Glad a linebacker pulled out the top spot in the tackle leaders catagory and thad tow LB’s in the top five. Took all season and the numbers were scary early in the season.!

Gotta get those rushing numbers up next year.

Have to say hats off to the D…they really seemed to come into their own as the year went on and the injury losses began to return. Would love to see them get the pass yardage allowed down, but as long as they continue to have a nose for the ball and can create turnovers, I can’t complain too much. That being said, I hope Amerson’s record season doesn’t cause him to start taking too many chances.

Under “Top 10 Active NCAA Career Leaders” I think Amerson had more than 3 pics. It’s listed correctly under interceptions though.

WV Wolf: Those are rankings, not totals

Graduating atleast 37.5 TFL next year. Somebody got some work to do after cashing in @ $ 400,000 per year.

The defense in the second half of the year was awesome outside of FSU, pretty much the second half and on from FSU we were one of the best in conference. Scary good at times.

Wuf, Going to be hard to get pass yardage allowed down given the over all philosophy of the defense, but I continue to believe we are going to be a bitch to run the ball against. I think our running average will increase this year, may not be drastic, but the return of Moose with JW and Creecy and the OL having a year under their belt w/ Bridge should yield some good results, especially with the new S&C coach and guys like Jomantas and Crisp getting stronger. Could be a very special year.

As far as Manning and Cole leaving, happens every year, but I suspect we’ll go w/ a 4-2-5 and 46 defense a lot next year w/ DJ Green returning and Dontae Johnson’s surging performance at that hybrid position.

+14 turnover ratio is pretty good.

any news on Baumann’s knee injury?

  7. choppack1 01/12/2012 at 10:17 PM #

Glennon threw for more tds and less ints than rw did last year. D played lights out 2nd half of year.

  8. JasonP 01/13/2012 at 10:38 AM #

Thanks for compiling this. If we don’t get a ground game going we’ll never challenge for the league championship. That means Greene or Creecy needs to be a 1000 yd back next season. Maybe that would help TOB win an Atlantic road game.

“Glennon threw for more tds and less ints than rw did last year”

    blasphemy

I am impressed by the attendance numbers and the loyalty of our fans year in and year out. Best fans in the world!

Does the Total Offense Avg. rank of 11 seem low to you? On the surface I thought the offense was fairly productive. Wonder what the range is from top to bottom in the category?

I am with you Standup, State fans love the Wolfpack and fill the stadium regardless for a howling good time. Given the size of the stadium, to end up ranked 32 nationally in total attendance and 34 nationally in average attendance are real tributes to the fans. There’s got to be 34 college venues with seating capacity way beyond C-F.
