Can someone give Calvin another pedialyte?

Dunk and a foul on a breakaway by Howell!

I actually had an argument with my dad on whether Howell could dunk.
It looks like I was wrong.

    Yes it does happen 😉

Maybe not the prettiest game ever but they did what they had to do.

    Battle Battle Battle for 3!!!

50 pt 2nd half, won the half by 16. For a team that has been having a trend of fading in the 2nd half, I think I can live with that.

GT looking every bit the cellar dweller. Mercer now up by two.

Goodnight and Merry Christmas to all. Except Rick.

I like what I saw… 61% in second half. Pretty even distribution of ball and shots. And Calvin only took one jumper and he gets a pass on that as the shot clock was running down.

Howell: Double / Double == 14pts – 10 rbs. It looks to me that almost every time he goofs under the basket, he is 1-2 ft deeper in than he ought to be. Coach sees that too, I’m sure and will fix it.

And most of all, I saw consistent attitude for 38 minutes… no highs and no lows. No highfiving; no moping; no deer in the headlights looks. Our guys needed to *feel* what it is like to do that. Should be the same for the next two games.

The fact that the starters were cheering on the subs at the end of the game was good to see. As the announcers pointed out, that’s a sign of good team chemistry — something that our team has lacked for quite some time.

    RE: Howell

You don’t have to be a skywalker when you are that strong and have a body that wide. Dejuan Blair dominated a very, very talent rich Big East with no vertical and no ACL’s. Howell will do his fair share of damage in the very, very…whatever the opposite of rich is….ACC.

    Poor…Poor ACC. Got it.

Nice to see AJ get his shot down. Hope it last into ACC play and beyond!

Chemistry, schemistry–we’ve been toxic in the recent past.

Gott is a miracle worker. This team is stunning in its turnaround from what we’ve seen in the past. Gott for ACC COY.

I don’t know about ACC COY, but I believe we are witnessing a basketball program that’s in the early stages of what may be a major turnaround. It’s sorta like watching the hour hand on a clock; you won’t see it move when you glance at it, but the longer you gaze at it, it’s apparent things are moving. I like what I saw tonight.

^All you Engineers will agree…. The longer it takes to *build* something; the longer it takes to tear it down.

Same in business and in basketball.

As I’ve said before, competence can be an extremely powerful thing.
