    v+6, 38 seconds

  2. WeAreCured 11/19/2011 at 9:00 PM #

    What a damn shame.

  3. Howler 11/19/2011 at 9:01 PM #

With Wood and his threes I think we would have prevailed

  4. Rick 11/19/2011 at 9:01 PM #

I hate to lose it but I like what I see.
There is still a lot of work to be done. We could be a good team by the end of the year

We made mistakes, but almost never mental ones and definitely not lack of effort. Great showing, guys.

Crap! Down 6 with 36 sec left. Can Wood shoot from the bench?

  7. PoppaJohn 11/19/2011 at 9:02 PM #

    V+7 – 26 sec

  8. Howler 11/19/2011 at 9:03 PM #

This one will be remembered if we are a bubble team….unfortunately

  9. BJD95 11/19/2011 at 9:03 PM #

It’s ok. We pushed them to the limit, and will learn from what Vandy did to us down the stretch

a little lost at the end, but that should work itself out as they continue to work hard and improve.

    86-79 V
HAH! Kenpom is not so smart, he said we’d lose 76-68

  12. Howler 11/19/2011 at 9:05 PM #

Your guys gave good effort Gott, plus we smacked Clemson in the mouth. Pretty good Saturday.

  13. Rick 11/19/2011 at 9:06 PM #

We are not a good team yet.
We could be but we are just not there yet.

  14. eas 11/19/2011 at 9:06 PM #

Good job Pack. Dang you John Jenkins.

  15. WeAreCured 11/19/2011 at 9:07 PM #

We better beat every other non-con besides Syracuse. Wins over the winner of the Texas/Oregon St. game, Indiana, and Stanford with some big conference wins could get us dancing.

You know what Gottfried did not do? He did not get in the last few seconds, let the clock run out, then say, “We got beat. We got outplayed by a better team and I don’t believe in all this ‘we fought hard’ stuff.”

I’m never satisfied with a loss however I saw a lot of positives tonight.
The most striking to me is we have very seldom had problems in handling the ball as compared to the Lowe years. The team played hard, showed a lot of promise but also showed some weak areas.
The more I see the better I like the current coaching staff.

“This one will be remembered if we are a bubble team…unfortunately”

That’s SO far down the line…

Now, Black Friday in Reynolds…will be much better than shopping at Target

  20. pack76 11/19/2011 at 9:09 PM #

Good effort!!! With some experience, we would have pulled that one out. We’re going to be a pretty good team as the season develops.

  21. RedRiver 11/19/2011 at 9:10 PM #

Great effort tonight. Tough loss, but in all honesty these kids are still learning a new system, it was still worlds better than what I have seen in a long time. Keep it up and we will have a chance to win some tough games this year that in the past 15 or so years we would not even have been in.

  22. Howler 11/19/2011 at 9:10 PM #

Down the line, but its true. Early nonconference games vs. Good opponents are important

  23. PoppaJohn 11/19/2011 at 9:11 PM #

Hey, I know you play the cards you are dealt. But with Woods on the floor, I think we win that game. No need to hang our heads, we are better than I thought we would be. We are a dangerous team.

  24. BJD95 11/19/2011 at 9:12 PM #

And to repeat, you will ruin your enjoyment of watching this team develop if you put expectations on them and judge by future bubble status, etc. This is laying a foundation, and getting the Pack playing the right way again.

Any post-season results are pure gravy.
