They are 7-11 from the three
    Our perimeter defense needs work.

    Calvin is killing it

    43-41 Vandy

  2. BJD95 11/19/2011 at 7:45 PM #

I have NEVER seen Calvin play half this hard. Yay for competent coaching!!

  3. MrPlywood 11/19/2011 at 7:45 PM #

3 nice plays by Calvin – the pass to Vandy, the rebound and pass, then the fastbreak dunk. I like.

Calvin is a game changer. When he is corralled and coached he is awesome.

    BJD,
    Who has a blackberry anymore?

CJL 16 points. (It’s on ESPN3 with Derrick Wittenberg announcing.)

  6. ncst8 11/19/2011 at 7:47 PM #

CJ looks great. Totally different player. Vandy can’t keep shooting that well from the outside. We can continue shooting that wel from inside the lane. I think that is a positive for us as the game goes on.

FYI – it’s worth wading through the red tape to set up WatchESPN. Better picture quality and no pop-ups.

  8. Rick 11/19/2011 at 7:48 PM #

I like thiws high post offense.
    The team really flows well

Rick – Dinosaurs who send lots of texts and e-mails and need to type with their thumbs on an actual keyboard!!

Whit sucks as a commentator. Hate to say it, but very true.

  10. Rick 11/19/2011 at 7:50 PM #

Did I see Terry Gannon too?

  11. MrPlywood 11/19/2011 at 7:51 PM #

Isn’t Gannon doing the President’s Cup?

  12. Wufpacker 11/19/2011 at 7:51 PM #

CJL draws a lot of attention. I hope they are coaching him to look to kick it out some.

  13. BJD95 11/19/2011 at 7:51 PM #

This is like one of those old Loyola Marymount games. Amazing offensive flow. Doesn’t sound like Gannon.

  14. Rick 11/19/2011 at 7:52 PM #

My fault it was Andy Katz

  15. Rick 11/19/2011 at 7:54 PM #

Both Raymond and Harris are in.
They are trying and not totally out matched.

  16. BJD95 11/19/2011 at 7:54 PM #

    Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist maybe??

  17. Rick 11/19/2011 at 7:55 PM #

Heck we could have used that Katz last year.
    Not so much this year.

  18. Wufpacker 11/19/2011 at 7:55 PM #

That’s high praise there, Rick….Not totally out matched. LOL

  19. Rick 11/19/2011 at 7:57 PM #

“That’s high praise there, Rick….Not totally out matched. LOL”
Actually it is. They are not very highly rated Fr playing against an experienced ranked team.

  20. BJD95 11/19/2011 at 7:57 PM #

Tough way to end the half. But still a fantastic effort by the Pack.

  21. Wufpacker 11/19/2011 at 7:57 PM #

Not a bad half. If not for Vandy shooting out their collective arse from beyond the arc, we go into the break with a lead. Not bad.

  22. Rick 11/19/2011 at 7:58 PM #

For how they were shooting it is impressive to be this close.

Our defense is suspect but I am enjoying watching this team.

  23. MrPlywood 11/19/2011 at 7:59 PM #

Hopefully Vandy will cool off like Princeton did. It feels like a completely different Pack team to me. I like what I see. Hopefully they can keep it up in the 2nd half.

  24. NCStatePride 11/19/2011 at 8:00 PM #

I was nervous at first, but each time Vandy pulls away, we pull back in. At this point in time, I think it’s going to come down to the more conditioned team: an experienced Vandy or one of Gottfried’s constantly up-tempo offenses…………

What’s even more shocking is I’m not already screaming “this sucks”.

  25. ncst8 11/19/2011 at 8:01 PM #

I am happy and impressed with the level of effort and general flow of the game. What a difference this year. Don’t know if we win, but have a feeing we will be in the game till the end.
