Pump up time! To bowl, or not to bowl?

HUGE game for the Wolfpack today! (Link) All the marbles on the line — either Tom O’Brien will go to his third bowl in five years at NC State…or he won’t. We will either have two straight winning seasons…or we won’t.

Joe Giglio sets the table for you here…but nobody did a better job of setting the historical backdrop of today’s game than our very own ‘ruffles’ in this fantastic entry. You can click herefor CFN’s take on the game; and Caulton Tudor projected a similar score (link).

The regular-season finale finds the Wolfpack (6-5, 3-4 ACC) with a lot more to gain than anyone could have guessed three or four weeks ago. It’s hard to remember that Maryland (2-9, 1-6) started the season with that impressive win over Miami. That game must seem like a million years ago to Randy Edsall. Wolfpack, 31-14.

I’ve been watching Georgia at Ga. Tech and had promised myself not to watch this game but gave in to temptation just before half to see the score. Exactly what I felt would happen the week after a big win…..TOTAL screw up by the coaches and by the players once Again!!! Some really good high school teams were knocked out of the playoffs last night so is it too late to got get one of them for the second half? I can think of several that can play better than this State team. Yow should fire this staff right after the game and even take away quite few scholarships.

Just think, we get to pay even more in WPC dues to see this again next year.

    Yaaayyyy!!!!

    bill,

On a similar note, I pulled all the Christmas decorations out of the basement for wife during halftime. It is amazing how fast that happens when you are pissed. Thanks NC State Wolfpack for the motivation.

I thought I would give it the 1st possession of the 2nd half. Now that nothing changed, I guess I can earn brownie points and get the honey do list completed.

“You guys need to get off Glennon’s case. He is a decent QB, and he is not a turnover machine. Given the spotty OL play, particularly early in the season, we should be thrilled that he only has 12 INTs on the year. Factor in the fact that this is his first year starting, and I think he is solid. I can understand being upset at the coaching staff, but Glennon has not played that bad this year.” PackFaninLA

I beg to differ. Against quality defense, Glennon has been awful. Against D-II teams, OK.

^LF… you now have more ‘positive’ yardage than Pack FB in the first half. Did you drop anything for a turnover ?? Now, what’s the wife got on her mind for you next ??

TOB said we’re OK when asked about the mental state of the team coming out for the second half. He also said we’ll see how they’re doing. Guess we know.

I’m on the new coaching situation bandwagon or what ever you wanna call it… can the GOTT-father coach our football team too??

  10. hammerpack 11/26/2011 at 3:09 PM #

Yes we know, they still aren’t ready to play.

  11. pakfanistan 11/26/2011 at 3:09 PM #

Let’s just stop here. 41-14 has a nice symmetry to it.

  12. MrPlywood 11/26/2011 at 3:09 PM #

It’s official – they have given up. Every last one of them.

  13. hammerpack 11/26/2011 at 3:10 PM #

    We officially suck.

“can the GOTT-father coach our football team too??”

    I’ve wondered the same thing.

Meant to say we know how the offense feels but now know about the defense as well. Another MD score, looks like the boys are calling it a season.

Despite thinking all week that I had prepared myself for the worst today, I have to say that this is way worse than I expected. We’re making Maryland look like BCS contenders.

  18. Lunatic Fringe 11/26/2011 at 3:12 PM #

I can’t wait to hear the staff tell us how the players weren’t ready to play and did not execute. It will be followed by talk from PackPride mods saying that the coaches weren’t the ones to fumble the ball…yada yada.

At some point, the coaching staff has to be held accountable.

  19. WolftownVA81 11/26/2011 at 3:13 PM #

waiting for the network to switch to another game.

  20. MrPlywood 11/26/2011 at 3:13 PM #

LMAO @ State “will really have to pick up the tempo now…”

  21. WolftownVA81 11/26/2011 at 3:14 PM #

We are playing the number one team in the confernece right? Please Debbie, end the pain.

  22. pakfanistan 11/26/2011 at 3:14 PM #

Hey, did you guys know that Maryland is 2-9?

  23. Khan 11/26/2011 at 3:15 PM #

TOB: “I’ve seen things I’ve never seen out of this team before.” LOLZ.

  24. Texpack 11/26/2011 at 3:15 PM #

This is why I was not all that thrilled that we beat Clemson. There are a lot of HS Coaches out there who can prepare a team better than this. PATHETIC! I would love to be a fly on the wall as Debbie Yow sits down with TOB to review the season

  25. GAWolf 11/26/2011 at 3:17 PM #

The SFN authors are still waiting for a big Ol’ apology.
