Pump up time! To bowl, or not to bowl?

HUGE game for the Wolfpack today! (Link) All the marbles on the line — either Tom O’Brien will go to his third bowl in five years at NC State…or he won’t. We will either have two straight winning seasons…or we won’t.

Joe Giglio sets the table for you here…but nobody did a better job of setting the historical backdrop of today’s game than our very own ‘ruffles’ in this fantastic entry. You can click herefor CFN’s take on the game; and Caulton Tudor projected a similar score (link).

The regular-season finale finds the Wolfpack (6-5, 3-4 ACC) with a lot more to gain than anyone could have guessed three or four weeks ago. It’s hard to remember that Maryland (2-9, 1-6) started the season with that impressive win over Miami. That game must seem like a million years ago to Randy Edsall. Wolfpack, 31-14.

Wonder why the announcers have not alluded to the fact that more than a bowl game is on the line for TOB?

  2. Wolfpack93 11/26/2011 at 3:49 PM #

    Glennon DOES have some balls!

Here is what is going to happen. We are going to come back and win this one. Go to a crappy bowl game and TOB’s job is once again postponed for another year.

It’s still sad no matter how many games we have SUCCESS in the no huddle/hurry up offense the coaching staff refuses to stick with it all the time!!!

Can’t believe how Glennon slowed up on the keeper so that we didn’t score. Got it anyway but that was weak.

Ok, so they review this play, but not the previous one on the long run where he obviously got in. :arrowhead:

Honestly, it is difficult to get excited about this. Maryland is practically giving us this ballgame and has stopped trying to advance the ball on offense. These are just two bad football teams fighting for the loss.

Please do not let this allow TOB to hold on to his job. A change needs to be made, regardless.

…turtle-twerps have run eleven plays this half… Red Terror D just needs one more 3 and out.

I think they need someone who can recruit the most…. I heard someone saying they might get rid of the people around him… whether its a bad team or not they still had to fight back!!!

I said at the start of the 2nd half I was going out. I could not look away, like a wreck on the Beltline, but there is NO EXCUSE for the egg we laid. The wife is now mad so we better pull one out.

  19. Avid109 11/26/2011 at 3:57 PM #

Are there really any positives to be taken from a win ove a 2-9 team, even if we luck out and pull this off? I’m sure there is something.

Should be a coaching moment to motivate, if we had anything that resembled a coach that could coach up.
