Pack to battle Texas tonight @ 6:30pm

Unfortunately, another exciting hoops game won’t be televised and will only be available to folks with ESPN3.

Please post pre game conversation and any previews that you want to share in this entry.

Of course, there is conversation about you know who going on here.

But, of more interest to me is discussion of Scott Wood’s injury and its impact on his availability tonight.

Just a great effort. We were down 19 I think. I cannot believe we made that comeback. Was so glad I remembered to bring home my laptop. Leslie finished with 17. Total team effort.

I tuned in when the Pack was down 18. I figured I’d see if things could get any worse…

    Things did get worse…for Texas!

What a comeback victory…having Wood on the floor makes such a tremendous difference.

No way we win this game in the last ten years down 18 with 11 minutes left.

    I’m glad we’ve got Gott.

What about that 28-2 run by the Pack!!! Love it!!!

I never thought I’d see an NC State team erase an 18 pt second half deficit. A-f’in-Mazing.

Also, Whittenburg kept referring to us as State and couldn’t keep his excitement about NCSU’s comeback contained in the final few seconds of game time. His objectivity throughout most of the game was very professional, but his being a homer at the end was a nice touch to a great game.

Unbelieveable!! There is a new sheriff in town, and I love it. He can recruit, motivate and coach–the total package. I admit I wanted Barnes during both coaching searches, but I am very happy we got Gott. Huge win. This will be very helpful if we are on the bubble. Thanks Coach and staff and players, and GOOOOOOO PACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gene, we wouldn’t have seen such a turn-a-round in the last several years. Since Valvano, I’ve not had the feeling we could come back like that. I’m excited about this team and our new coach!!!

  16. timberwolf 11/21/2011 at 9:28 PM #

I turned it off at 12 min. wrote it off as another “what if”. Can you blame me? Holy cow!!!!

The Eyes of Texas can watch as I bend over & drop trough in their general direction!!

    Go WOLFPACK!

As said before — Coach Gott is a much better choice than Rick Barnes (never understand the fanbase fansication with a coach who could not beat UNC-CH and had seasons like Clemson football — fast start with a swan dive at season’s end).

I think he will be our next Jim Valvano. However just remember many people did not like Valvano’s thinking that the regular season title was for Dean and Mike to whine about while he let his team develop and peak at NCAA tournament time. Give Mike Gottfried some slack and let’s see where he takes us….
