Please don’t confuse critique with displeasure. I think Glennon has. Proven to Beattie very least what he was billed….minus the ridiculous Matty Ice comparisons. He’s good. he just hasnt gotten to the point he’s going to carry our team. He certainly isn’t a huge problem for us. I agree there have been a lot of drops. Some his fault, many however were not.

I’m looking at the player stats. Glennon, Graham, Amerson, etc get all the attention, but two guys who have had really good years despite the problems we’ve had as a defensive unit are Markus Kuhn and Art Norman.

Kuhn has some good stats for a DT and has played tough throughout the challenges with his rotating front line mates. I seem to recall in a preseason preview that Coach Willis thought Kuhn had a shot at the NFL with a good season because of his frame, strength, athletic ability and potential. I think he ran a sub 4.9 at the pro day last year at 6-4, 305, and he hasn’t played much football, so he’s going to improve if he gets a chance on the next level. I think we saw last weekend what our DL can do when healthy, and Kuhn is a big part of that.

I love how Art Norman plays. He’s way undersized for a DE (maybe 6-1/235) but the guy just makes plays when he’s in there. Every time I watch him, he’s around the football and in the backfield. I watched him against UNC and he was often able to beat the much larger OT to the spot and get penetration. Maybe he didn’t always make the tackle, but he disrupted several plays. He’s a baller, and only a red-shirt FR too, so he’s going to get better.
