Pack/Noles Game Thread

My only hope for this game is that nobody else gets hurt. Beating the Holes next week is pretty much the only remaining goal for the season. Plus I know my sports-related good fortune was all used up during Games 6 and 7 of the World Series.

See you sporadically in the comments, I will be in the car for most of the action.

    At the very minimum, if Mike Archer is still here next year, I won’t be in the stands to see it.

    I’m on the verge of saying that about TOB, himself.

    There is no excuse, injuries or not, for TOB to field a team capable of this level of embarrassment. I don’t care who we play, we should at least be able to make a showing — even in losses.

    Can we end the stupid comparisons of Glennon to Matt Ryan now? I’d be happy if I never heard that one again.

    Glennon is not the problem. He has eight starts under his belt. Of course he’s not Matt Ryan. Maybe the comparison would be more valid if Glennon had O-lines protecting him the way Matt did.

    Consistently outplayed and unprepared teams this year. Victories have come from other teams’ mistakes, not our great play.

    TOB did what he set out to do…

    Establish a nice retirement fund. He has not accomplished anything else.

    I’m looking forward to a complete overhaul of the coaching staff. Nothing else is going to help the football program move forward in a positive direction.

    Like many other Pack fans I am tired of Mediocrisy. It is time for a change (obviously) injuries or not. We need a more dynamic coach that get’s fired up and Fowler went polar opposite with this hire due to the CTC era. The style of coaching that O’Brien and Bible run just does not fit. It may have had great success with BC, but I am clearly stating the obvious when it is time to move on. It is 50/50 odds on every game that we cone out flat and look sloppy. My 6 year old daughter was watching the game with me today and was like “Dad–why does State look asleep on the field”. Pretty pathetic. I am done.

    In the last 20 years we’ve gained a reputation for mediocrity in virtually everything. Except that it is a rival game, I’d say Carolina blows us out next week.

    Pathetic performance week to week.

    TOB’s record is pretty sorry after 5 years. 50% after 5 years. Most of those wins coming against lower level collegiate teams, etc.

    It is pretty sad to see NC State get absolutely whipped at all phases of the game in year 5 of the O’brien era.

    I will raise a toast tonight to NO YEAR 6. Get him out of Raleigh. I can no longer support his coaching at NC State. Our players deserve better.

    can’t stand by TOB anymore. all of the false starts, the predictable unimaginative plays, the gutless calls…not to mention poor recruiting.

    let Debbie get herself a football coach and let’s pay for a good one and not a bargain-basement coach.

    I hate to say it but I don’t see any wins the rest of the season. This team is constantly unprepared, outplayed, out hustled and out coached. Poor o-line play and play calling and piss poor defensive schemes and play continue after all this time. About the only way I could support Yow keeping TOB after this year is if she forces him to get rid of Archer and Bible and probably a few other coaches. If he wont do that….time for her to to get rid of him and the rest.

    In an email to me, DY stated she had no control over TOBs staff, and that is his decision to make, and also that she would evaluate him at the end of the season. Hopefully she has the good sense to see what we all see. TOB is a waste of good Wolfpack money.
