Pack/Noles Game Thread

My only hope for this game is that nobody else gets hurt. Beating the Holes next week is pretty much the only remaining goal for the season. Plus I know my sports-related good fortune was all used up during Games 6 and 7 of the World Series.

See you sporadically in the comments, I will be in the car for most of the action.

Alright, what’s next? We look like a MF’ing blooper reel.

    This is worse than chemotherapy.

I can only blame Glennon so much. He is running for his life back there.

Why do we even trot the O-line out there? They are useless.

not a single off lineman touched that def lineman

We’ve held them to 27 through 3 quarters. That’s definitely less than I thought possible.

There is no excuse for a school of our size with the facilities we have in one of the premier conferences in the country to look this bad.

I don’t bet, but the Vegas over/under line is usually a good gauge. When I saw the ‘Noles were a 18-1/2 favorite I thought that was too high. I didn’t think State had a chance to win the game but I thought they could at least be competitive. Obviously, the boys in Vegas win more than they lose.

Its a numbers game. State has a few players on offense and defense that could make FSU’s team. Somehow Tom must recruit better players or the football team will never fundamentally improve. Essentially team quality has been about the same since Mike O’Cain took over from Dick Sheridan.

They can’t keep recruiting nothing but “projects” and expect to compete at the highest levels of the league.

Our running backs coach should be fired after this game. I haven’t seen even ONE RB actually pick up a blitzer or a rushing lineman in this game.

Do we need more proof that we can’t execute the Zone D? I mean; square peg, round hole. It just doesn’t work for us.

I’m ready for the TOB era to come to an end.

Think about this – we are worse now than we were at any point in Amato’s time here. That should be enough to convince anyone that it is time for this scrub to be booted.

It’s over, 34-nil. A TRULY POINTLESS WOLFPACK EFFORT!

  15. TOBtime 10/29/2011 at 2:50 PM #

TOBtime is ready for the TOB era to be over as well. Does pathetic begin to describe this trainwreck? The lack of even basic football fundamentals is beyond description.

Go Wake. Maybe the day won’t be a total loss.

Wow. What an embarrassing beat down.

had enough of the tob era, wake me up when we hire someone interesting

Thank God we don’t play Duke and ECU this year. It would be terrible to lose to UNC, Duke, W.F. and ECU in the same year. We’re worse than Duke this year. Now, thats bad!!!

I think that this game will be the last straw for the TOB regime. Unless he is willing to completely overhaul his assistants he will be gone.

FTR, I’m not saying whether or not I think this should be the case, just simply that it is the case.

  20. pack76 10/29/2011 at 3:06 PM #

Yeah, he’s gone!!! We hire another so-so coach and for the next 5 years, we are hoping for a 7-5 season so we can go to a minor bowl. Sad!!!

na na na na hey hey goodbye…..nice knowing you Red.

  22. PackFamily 10/29/2011 at 3:08 PM #

This is bad, and indefensible, but nowhere as bad as Amato’s last year. We went on a 7-game losing streak…

Also, it’s not lost on me that we are now splitting hairs over our worst season. We are skimming bottom.

  23. redcanine 10/29/2011 at 3:10 PM #

I doubt this team could win a pillow fight versus a bunch of Girl Scouts.

Bible, Archer, TOB, call your local real estate dealer.

Different years….same results the only sport we are good at is Cross Country.

  25. pack76 10/29/2011 at 3:18 PM #

We’re on our way to a 5 game losing streak this year and if we have these coaches next season, it could exceed the 7 game losing streak that Amato had in his last year.
