Pack/Noles Game Thread

My only hope for this game is that nobody else gets hurt. Beating the Holes next week is pretty much the only remaining goal for the season. Plus I know my sports-related good fortune was all used up during Games 6 and 7 of the World Series.

See you sporadically in the comments, I will be in the car for most of the action.

    If Ms. Yow and Mr. Woodson needed any additional proof, they have it today. It is time to start over in football.

    The only question now is how long the coaching search will take.

    year 5 and we are not even competitive. How anyone would want to keep this coach is beyond me. We are worse now than we were in chuck’s last year lololol

    Here in VA today, it’s cold and damp. Think I’ll go for a walk during the second half. This just pisses me off too much to watch.

    We are a more consistent and discliplined MOC team. You can see the superiority in coaching but sadly the similar deficiency in the GM half of the equation.

    First play of 2nd half, FSU has 2 receviers split left. Wide camera angle. One white shirt is close the slot receiver and no white shirts on the wide end, and we can see 15 yards easy. Nice D formation.

    Now there was some good defense, 3rd and 10. We let the recevier catch the ball wide open and made the tackle after a gain of 15, but that’s our D at its finest! PLay soft, let them catch, and make the tackle.

    Other teams are at a greater advantage in third and long vs short against our D.

    Graham also did it playing against one of the weakest schedules in the country. He’s good, but his numbers are inflated due the (lack of) competition. His average will decline steadily over the last six games and stiffer competition.

    If I had to handicap it I’d have to say the offense has been more disappointing than the D. We’ve had chances – just made zero of them.

    I have to say that I thought (and wrote on SFN) after the Cincinnati game that we were going to be 4-4 going into the game against UNC.

    Well, we ended up making it to the red zone but it was only a quick stay.
