In order to put a positive face on things, I will attempt to list some positive things about this football season:

– Based on our September play, beating the spread will be a much more realistic goal going forward.

– Boston College sucks as bad as we do, if not worse.

– Butch Davis still sheds a tear every time he sees a paleface litter.

– Unlike (every) basketball season, there’s no chance that Duke or the Holes can win the national championship and rub salt in the wound.

– Steven Hauschka, best offensive weapon for the Seattle Seahawks. Dental school will have to wait.

– Friday, bitches.

– My fantasy team is 3-0!! OK, that one probably only works for me. Hey, I’m trying my best, damn it.

– The NCAA just cleared the path for one SEC refugee to join our two deep. If we only can get 10 or 15 more of those, we’ll be set.

– The first appearance of fall weather might have you outside and forgetting that we play today.

– Russell Wilson is finally getting some national media attention and Heisman love.

– Friday, bitches (schadenfreude so nice, I listed it twice).

    This coaching staff has got to go. The whole staff. Forget the injuries…it wouldn’t matter. They have been outcoached for 5 straight weeks, including S. Alabama. They can’t recruit. They don’t ‘coach up’. They never think outside the box. TOB has a history of poor clock mgmt. He has history of gutless decision making in crucial moments. He ran off one(RW) of the two guys(NI the other) who saved his ass from being fired already. Say whatever you want about how he had no choice, but I don’t buy it anymore. He needed to recognize that the RW situation was unique. I believe he lost the team when he made that decision in the off season. But no…TOB is a stubborn SOB who is willing to sacrafice our program, or whatever is left of it, instead of being in any way flexible. I am embarrassed today to be a State fan (again). Go back to New England TOB…and take your sorry ass coaching staff with you.

    I do not understand these timeouts. As long as GT doesn’t throw an incompletion, we can’t get it back with any time left. All we can do is give up a big run.

    Sweezy is the type of player we need all over the defense. Yeah, he’s had his trouble off the field but he makes the plays where they need to be made, injury or not, out of position or not.
