Open College Football Entry – State 28-10 to start 4th Qtr

We wanted to open a college football discussion entry for everyone sitting around today on a cold and rainy Saturday.

It is currently 3:54 and…

…Clemson defeated the defending National Champion from the SEC by 14.

…Georgia Tech defeated a team from the Big 12 by 50.

…Maryland fell short in a comeback bid against West Virginia.

…Butch Davis is attending his second consecutive UNC football game as a spectator…and, UNC is not unhappy about it because if he wasn’t there Kenan Stadium might not have any fans.

…DUKE WINS!!! at Boston College. Wow…I could not love this more! Congrats to Cutcliffe. Couldn’t love it more for BC.

It aint Glennon’s fault. He IS a good player worthy of starting on this football team. Palmer (#4) has shown positive signs too. No one else can get it together; including Bryan, Cole, Bishop, etc.

Does anyone else feel the way I do?

  3. Tuffy2 09/17/2011 at 7:08 PM #

As far as Glennon, he has to have a clock ticking in his head or at least feel the heat better but you can’t blame him if the line does not continue to block until the whistle blows

Tuffy2, I was going to say Peter Frampton does. This game is horrible. I don’t see this team (that I’m watching tonight) able to win even ONE conference game.

On the offensive side, the problems I saw were the Oline letting Dlinemen through, sometimes almost untouched, the running game is sub-par, a wet ball so a few fumbles, 1 lost. Also, I’m pretty sure that that long ball hit B. Underwood in the hands. I might be mistaken though.

The defense has been horrific. If they are a good D, then they are always playing down to the opponent’s level. That’s what it has seemed to me. They play at or just above the offensive level of their opponents. Last week was a little lower.

AMEN! SaccoV! He would also say “That’s alright with me” as far as not watching anymore of this game.

We’re pretty much garbage. We’re just not fun to watch this season, so I’m not really watching. Especially against directional alabama. It’s streaming on my computer in the background, but I’m watching other games on the TV.

Glennon’s clock has been good. He’s taken off right before the D got to him a few times. However, the Oline’s blocking has been below average at best overall. They had a few good snaps where they blocked well, but overall average is below average.

    ^LOL Frampton Comes Alive!

Most boring game ever. Our punt coverage guy downed the ball with the back of his noggin. Unbelievable.

This is an excruciatingly dull game. I am not optimistic about league play. No matter how shitty our league cohorts may be.

weak as water. If we go 6-6 we will be lucky

  13. redcanine 09/17/2011 at 7:18 PM #

We are getting killed with fragrance.

No character? No heart? No tallent? What is it?

  15. tuckerdorm1983 09/17/2011 at 7:20 PM #

we should be beating these guys by 30 pts and bringing in the bench warmers in the 4th. Its gonna be a long year.

  16. Wulfpack 09/17/2011 at 7:26 PM #

Collaros and the Bearcats put up 59 against their Ohio directional. Hopefully we can get it in gear this second half and try to build some confidence for Thursday night.

  17. BJD95 09/17/2011 at 7:26 PM #

I think it’s more talent than effort or coaching. We just don’t look any good.

why is TOB such a dick to Underwood. he is clearly the better runner yet he continues to go to washington. on our first score Underwood did all the work only to get yanked on the goal line??? wtf!

  19. packbackr04 09/17/2011 at 7:28 PM #

return game continues to be weak

  20. sundropdrinker13 09/17/2011 at 7:30 PM #

I’ve wondered that as well packbackr. Washington is at best the number 3 RB on the team, yet he is starting over Underwood? Ridiculous.

  21. GAWolf 09/17/2011 at 7:32 PM #

Are we playing tonight?I’m watching Miami/OSU and then FSU/OSU.

  22. redcanine 09/17/2011 at 7:32 PM #

Ole! Step aside, don’t get run over.

  23. inhoc... 09/17/2011 at 7:34 PM #

Wow, we should voluntarily leave the ACC for cusa or div 1aa

  24. BJD95 09/17/2011 at 7:35 PM #

I’m glad BC and UVA suck. But those are road games. My only goal for the season is to beat the Holes.
