Rejoice! For There Shall Be Liveblogging

Can I get an “amen, hallelujah” brothers and sisters? I know I have been disinterested, out of town, and/or lazy for the first three weeks of the season. Which is probably for the best.

But tonight, the live blog…she is back. Will the Pack lose 52-49 in a thrilling shootout? Or 63-14 in a…less interesting manner? Will random fans from the visitors’ section be asked to play DL or LB tonight?

Only the Good Lord above knows, and he ain’t talkin’ (word is He prefers the NFL anyway). So let’s find out together. See ya after the sun goes down.

End of Q1 – Time for some old school liveblogging. An epic embarrassment of a first 15. And it will get worse before it gets better. This may be the worst non-Amato team I’ve ever seen wear the red and white. And the Bearcat fans have to be worn out from all the banging together of those inflatable dildoes.

9:01 – I just can’t keep up with “Cover It Live” – like the Wolfpack defense couldn’t keep up with a drunk tortoise. I feelbad for all you poor fuckers who have season tickets. This is beyond brutal. 21-0, and it can and will get worse.

9:16 – It’s hard to imagine how we could possibly play any worse. A minor miracle it’s not 42-0. Fumble, ball back to Cincy. Holy shitsnacks.

Foose, Hyman reiterated today he is staying put at USC. At least we have that going for us tonight!

I will tell you who held RW back. That would be TOB and staff.

    Thanks, tuffy2!

We’ll just have better players with no heart. This is all O’brien’s team, and they are emotionless and uninspired. They got their asses handed to them by a smaller, gutsier bunch. And that is coaching, pure and simple.

    Your welcome Coach13!

The one play that showed Cincy’s heart was when their RB at 40 lbs lighter put a stamp block on our linebacker for a score.

Pick any play tonight, and it showed more heart for them than the Pack.

Hey! Did you guys see the plays where Audie Cole was playing D-Line…? I must admit I laughed out loud when I first saw that!

I’m not sure who to blame.. Is the coaching staff out there feeding them milk as if they’re children? They’re a college football team.. These petty mistakes are why were losing these games. We are not competitive in the fbs and doesn’t look like theres gonna be a turnaround either. We look burnt out and only 4 games in to the season.. Unacceptable.

I laughed out loud twice. When Kuhn laid the perfect block on Wolff and let Collaros scramble for TD. And when poor Brosius, after getting sacked ten yards behind the line reached the ball out as if to break the plain, seemingly to avoid a -40 yard rushing total.

    First of all-

Can we focus on what should be important to NCSU? BASKETBALL.

    2-

How many of you actually want what is right for the program and not what your “my conversations with co-workers will change incredibly!” emotions want?

    And, 3-

Who actually expected a different outcome? At east we know for sure that TJ and Mike will be playing on Sundays. We all know that is where Wolfpack football becomes relevant

TJ is going to have a hell of a time staying on a NFL roster if he continues to drop catches on 3rd downs and fumble one’s he does catch that would have been a first down.

I think this is truly indicative of our problems. On this play, Maddox was on his heels and let the RB totally dominate him on that block. I’ve always heard announcers talk about playing downhill and our players never seem to be doing that. We don’t seem to be taking on blockers trying to fight through them. We always seem to be on our heels waiting for our opponents to initiate the contact.

Maybe the basketball staff should come over and coach the football team. Even without playing a single Bball game, they couoldn’t do any worse and might even do better. Look at the difference in the two head coaches and staffs….Gottfried and his staff are full of emotion and enthusiam and hard at work trying to recruit very talented players while the football staff stands around with folded arms, and has no emoton or enthusiasm and recruits lesser players on purpose.
I don’t predict a great Basketball season this year by any means but I’ll take their enthusiasm and recruiting effort over this football staff’s anyday. I don’t think this team can even finish with a .500 season at this point and it’s very likely they have already won their last game of the year. It’s time for this staff to go!

  14. highstick 09/23/2011 at 10:44 AM #

Why would anyone think the basketball team will do well? They haven’t even played a game yet and our fan base has already proven that we don’t know squat about predicting win-loss records.

Why does basketball count now? It hasn’t in a long time and until somebody proves me wrong, it still doesn’t.

If you are replying to my post above..I specifically stated “I don’t predict a great basketball season this year by any means” but I do like the enthusiasm and attitude shown so far by the head coach and the way they are actually pursuing talented recruits as opposed to the total lack of emotion and recruiting attempts by this football staff. If I actually saw some fire and enthusiasm from this football staff I think I would pass out from the shock.
