Rejoice! For There Shall Be Liveblogging

Can I get an “amen, hallelujah” brothers and sisters? I know I have been disinterested, out of town, and/or lazy for the first three weeks of the season. Which is probably for the best.

But tonight, the live blog…she is back. Will the Pack lose 52-49 in a thrilling shootout? Or 63-14 in a…less interesting manner? Will random fans from the visitors’ section be asked to play DL or LB tonight?

Only the Good Lord above knows, and he ain’t talkin’ (word is He prefers the NFL anyway). So let’s find out together. See ya after the sun goes down.

End of Q1 – Time for some old school liveblogging. An epic embarrassment of a first 15. And it will get worse before it gets better. This may be the worst non-Amato team I’ve ever seen wear the red and white. And the Bearcat fans have to be worn out from all the banging together of those inflatable dildoes.

9:01 – I just can’t keep up with “Cover It Live” – like the Wolfpack defense couldn’t keep up with a drunk tortoise. I feelbad for all you poor fuckers who have season tickets. This is beyond brutal. 21-0, and it can and will get worse.

9:16 – It’s hard to imagine how we could possibly play any worse. A minor miracle it’s not 42-0. Fumble, ball back to Cincy. Holy shitsnacks.

well, although it’s been a horrible night, the blame cannot ride hard on Glennon. His passer rating is great right now. I know he has the picks, but who wouldn’t when they know you’re going to throw because you can’t run.

I think Glennon is showing that he’s a very good QB now that he gets to air it out some.

She should have him in her office first thing in the morning and give him the ultimatum of either he gets rid of Archer before GT or he is gone right after GT. Forget about giving him 2012. Does anyone think he will change and instill emotion into the team in 2012 much less ever?

Looks like Brosius is coming in. He looked pretty good last week.

What’s Bill Cowher up to these days?

  5. Tuffy2 09/22/2011 at 10:52 PM #

He threw the pick in the beginning of the game and as tall as he is they were not even close to the receiver. But forget Glennon, he did come around. It is all on the coach.

I think TOB should still be the coach for next year, BUT Archer SHOULD NOT BE AROUND Raleigh when next year starts. He HAS TO GO. I know we’ve had injuries to key players, but even so, I was not impressed with our playcalling on D.

one would think that they might want Brosius to get some experience in the 2 minute offense…who the hell knows with this staff though…

there aren’t enough expletives to describe that

  9. Tuffy2 09/22/2011 at 10:59 PM #

    FOOTBALL=EMOTION

    TOB=????

    Brosius got some plays in.

    When does bassfishing practice begin?

  12. Tuffy2 09/22/2011 at 11:04 PM #

It is real good Brosius got some plays in because when we are in the 2nd qtr of the FSU game he better be ready.

I feel sorry for Glennon… I mean almost anywhere else and he would be thriving. We have no running game and no O-line to help him plus we have to score about 40 plus just to win a game and then I hear people complaining how the coaches don’t get enough 4 and 5 stars. We get a 4 star #3 QB in the nation and he gets his a** handed to him… He will get injured if this continues to happen…

I’m here for my medicine fellas……I’m now officially on board with the 3-9 club. At least I would have been pretty close on the over-under I picked 55 points, it was 58.

  15. bTHEredterror 09/22/2011 at 11:09 PM #

What an uninspired, scared bunch they looked tonight.

  16. old13 09/22/2011 at 11:09 PM #

“Lou Holtz said it all at the half!”

    What? I missed it.

  17. Tuffy2 09/22/2011 at 11:10 PM #

Well maybe we should have got some 4 or 5 star OL players to go along with Glennon.

5 years is enough to pass judgment.

Thanks Fowler, for canceling Jimbo’s interview and telling him and Bo you had no use for them.

They’re only two of the hottest young coaches in the country, and we could have had them both. You told them thanks, but no thanks.

    Brilliant.

  19. Tuffy2 09/22/2011 at 11:15 PM #

Lou said that there was something wrong with this NC State football team and how they do not look prepared to play. He said he would ask his team if they where ready when the national stage was upon them.

  20. Wulfpack 09/22/2011 at 11:15 PM #

    What the hell was that???

  21. Wulfpack 09/22/2011 at 11:18 PM #

Year 5, and THIS is what you got TOB? Holy Moses, spare us.

Time to end this trainwreck and hire Butch…Jones! Talk about an exciting style of play. If I’m a HS recruit, and I’m watching tonight’s game, it’s a no contest where I would rather play. We are as vanilla as it gets.

We’ll be lucky to win 2 games in the ACC. It’s a trainwreck. We may even be worse than last year’s basketball team!

  22. Tuffy2 09/22/2011 at 11:20 PM #

What the hell was what? If you mean the ??? next to TOB it meant anything but EMOTION. Meaning you fill in the blank.

Swofford takes Pitt and ‘Cuse from the Big East… TCU backs out of joining a flailing league… Patterson not thrilled at remaining in a non-AQ. UNC steals Hyman away from SoCar, and Hyman hires his buddy from TCU for the 2nd time, bringing Patterson to UNX.

    Swofford’s master plan is complete.

Let’s hope the Big 12 invites TCU, and quickly.

  24. Wulfpack 09/22/2011 at 11:24 PM #

^Hyman re-affirmed he is staying put at USC today. But we’re MUCH better suited for the Big East the way this is going. We’re a shitty ass football team.

Jaw-dropping poor NCSU team. Again. Flashes of 2009. Sigh. Maybe – maybe – getting those injured players back will make a big diff for the last 6 games. Only one of them is an O-lineman, though, and he’s out for the season, IIRC.

Glennon has POTENTIAL! Remember that he hasn’t played since high school. Even with a sub-par O-line, he did show again that he could develop by midseason pretty well. The interceptions were bad, but then he settled down. The first one looked like he lost his grip on the ball. The second INT was just a brainfart, it seemed. But, all-in-all, he has good numbers and could end up with some of the best stats in the ACC. Now he is the least of our concerns. Amazing, huh?

Tonight, though, the lack of a running game really increased the pressure on Glennon. Still, though, I don’t understand why not go long more often. When you’re down 3 or 4 touchdowns in the second half, do a little more of what has been working. Totally forget running. Period.

Back in ’09, Russell Wilson was put in this situation, forcing him to try to make something out of nothing. Imagine the great stats he would have had if NCSU had a defense that didn’t spot the opponent a 3 or 4 TD lead? I think ’09 was his best year, but the circumstances wouldn’t allow him to shine.

And I agree with earlier poster. When you’re down 3 or 4 touchdowns, and your defense can’t get it done, why not try some squib kicks or on-sides kicks?

It’s still only September. We can hope that the return of 5 of our very best players would make a difference.
