So keep it civil (unless Kenan Stadium needs to be carpet bombed) when “imploring” the “Chancellor and BOT” to “step down.”

Keep your emails, calls, letters and every known way of correspondence with the Chancellor and BOT imploring them to step down and for God’s sake have no hand in the hiring of the new AD. If Bill Friday and Holden Thorp hire our new AD then we might as well carpet bomb Kenan and hope insurance will pay. Let’s keep the correspondence civil, succinct, and on point.

After reading that piece, I am not 100% sure because he is pretty equivocal on the subject, but I think Deems is of the opinion that the current UNC administration has de-emphasized football.

    Judicial Office which houses the honor court at UNC-CHeat was broken into and students files were stolen. And now the evidence continues to disappear… things are beyond crazy at the Hill, paranoia runs rabid.

    The lies they are telling on talk radio are beyond belief.

    Even down here in 104.9 The Drive country (a Clemson station) unc fans, single wide alumni, are calling in and lying like hell.

    Butch is innocent they will tell you. Not even mentioned once in the NOA and being chased out of town by the N&O and State fans!!!

    As much as I hate to admit it, I believe his letter is a result of Lurch learning from our mistakes in the late 80’s. Valvano should never have been fired, and doing that basically de-emphasized basketball (and all athletics) at this university.

    I give him credit for a preemptive strike against the headless albatross of light blue… and I wish him total failure.

    From the beginning of all this, and the seemingly light pressure on Butch, I too wandered how we could smear Jimmy V for lesser things, and Butch continues to hang around. So the light finally came on in Smurfland. We will miss you Ole Butch, and the great record your team held against the “Pack.”

    It’s best to remember that Deems has long suffered for a football program that could re-establish a dominance over State that existed prior to Earl Edwards. He, himself, was part of the sleeping giant that went 0-fer the Wolfpack. Add to this that he was probably underpaid for his grid iron services and hasn’t been able to use that “valuable” sheepskin from UNC to keep himself gainfully employed. Add to that his total inability to keep his idiot mouth shut, and what you are left with is babbling UNC a$$ hat. “Deems”… that must be Swahili for dip$hit.

    He was a little D***head back then at Lexington and he’s still a big D***head these days. He was a few years behind me in school in those days but I always used to love watching him get pounded by our defense at Thomasville back then and see his crybaby act.

    On numerous occasions I have wanted to jump into the radio over comments this “ass magnet” has made. Wanted to tell him where to go, give him directions and money for a cab. However, with this award winning piece of literature all I feel is sad for him. He really needs to take a “perspective pill” and go to bed.

    Better to have your academic dignity Lurch and a 7 and 5 football team, than this at UNX. Want to call Bill Clinton and see if he can give the “I feel your pain speech” to their football team. Deems May for AD. Just sad and pathetic.
