In the previous 17 years, the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic has donated nearly $15 Million to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, which has raised over $100 million dollars. The V Foundation awards 100 percent of all new, direct cash donations and net proceeds of events directly to cancer research and related programs. You can visit the V Foundation website at jimmyv.org
If you can’t make it out to any of the events, please consider making a donation to the V Foundation. If you’re reading this site the odds are pretty good that you’re a State fan and cancer has certainly affected the Wolfpack community with Jim Valvano, Kay Yow, Everett Case, Kaye Cowher, Dana Bible, Chuck Amato and I’m sure others. And as much grief as this site has given Butch Davis (and rightfully so), he is a cancer survivor and that is a great thing.
