Cory Mazzoni got the victory, going eight innings and scattering four hits with 12 strikeouts.
State will face Stetson at 1pm Sunday in another elimination game. Stetson rallied from five runs down on Friday night to beat State 8-7. The winner will have to defeat top-seed South Carolina twice, with the first game at 7pm Sunday.
