UNC Fan(graduate?) George Stephens upset with NC State students

There was an interesting letter to the editor in today’s N&O.

Some N.C. State University students waved their middle fingers as their greeting to the Carolina basketball players at the Feb. 23 game. I went to Carolina, but I have invested more volunteer time in State than in my own school. What some of its students did makes me wonder if I made a good investment.

Apparently, George who attended(graduated?) UNC missed this photo of some of his fellow classy Heel fans(bandwagon?) in the RBC Center last Wednesday evening:

I fully expect another letter from George to the N&O stating that he doesn’t appreciate the UNC fan’s action in this picture wondering if he made a good choice in attending UNC since fan behavior is such an important issue to him.

We will be waiting, George.

    Don’t get me started on my wonderful experiences at Kenan Stadium. Had a decal on my car, PAID and parked in a lot, and had to be subjected to some of the student section there. Result was: drinks “accidentally” poured down my back, taunted, and one of my party was threatened with a broken beer bottle. To top it all off, we get back to our PAID parking lot (with an attendant on duty) and our tire is slashed. We had to buy a new tire before leaving Chapel Hell. And people wonder why I can’t stand them.

    What happened with the report that Roy’s wife being taken out of the arena along with one of our students. Seem’s this has been kept quiet and died out quickly. Any idea what happened?

    Uh well maybe someone else has already covered this but the 3rd finger salute I saw at the game was for the referee that called that idiotic, unexplainable and ultimately very costly intentional foul. There were other questionable calls and non-calls, but that to me was the worst. by the way the technical on Sidney was stupid as well. Not that I think it is acceptable to bird the refs or anyone else for that matter but nontheless, the Holes flatter themselves to believe that they were the subjects of this ignoble salute. You guys ain’t even worth the effort for that!

    I went back to the N&O website to check out the pic that you posted.

    I am prepared to write a letter to the N&O asking why they only like to print letters about how bad State fans are.

    I wanted to refer to the pic that obviously came from the N&O website yet it looks like they have already pulled that particular pic with the UNC Hole fan doing the same thing.

    Looks like they read SFN and could not cope with the G. Stephens letter all the while showing the pick of the UNC douchebag.

    As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have read literallyseveral dozen letters to the N&O over the years about boorish NCSU fans, but don’t recall a single one going the other direction. Yet, we all know NCSU doesn’t have a monopoly, by any means, in this department – esp. with UNC and their legions of blow-hards.

    I suggest that State fans, upon seeing large groups of UNC fans, ask them to pose for cell phone pics. There is a very good chance, and maybe even a likelihood, that there will be one to show his/her ass. You might get assaulted by one of the drunk whine-and-cheesers, but the pix could be priceless.

    Send all the pix to Statefansnation. We can make a great library and even place them on you tube.
