    I don’t think dick describes it. I was lucky enough to go to the game this year at Duke. The people in front of me were passing around a sheet with things to use to make fun of the State players. There were some random facebook and twitter posts. Then stuff like –

    Ryan Harrow has a high voice – nicknamed Minnie Mouse
    Lo Brown didn’t qualify and had to go to Hargrove.
    Jordan Vandenburg’s assignment that ended up on deadspin.

    Pretty dickish.

    Then, Sid Lowe’s son … BEYOND DICK!

    Which is why I always cringed whenever our student section tried to imitate the Dookies.

    I’ve been to several State vs. Duke games at Cameron and we won 3 out of 4. I remember just before one game in ’88, the State Cheerleaders were doing some stunts in the end zone. We had a really good looking blonde (believe me) who did an upside down split over the guy cheerleaders head. One side of the court immediately yelled “BLONDE HAIR!” and the other side responded “BLACK BUSH!” It alternated several times before she climbed down still shaking her pom poms. Gotta tell you, it was classless and funny at the same time.

    the crazies hadn’t bothered me until this year when the ol mcdonald chant comes out.. they are evolving into carowhina like and the tarbates are evolving to ecu pirate like..

    I also get tired of people always calling them the best fans..I mean if you been as good as they have been with K, it’s not real hard to have fans that support you as much as they do…I think NC State fans are some of the best with what we have had to deal with over the last 20+ years, and still always show up good or bad…

    Tasteless examples can be found from virtually any university. I was at the Reynolds game years ago when Tom Gugliotta went off for 42 points against Carolina. It was the day (or day after) Dean Smith’s wife had been mugged. One of the fans in the State student section had a sign that read “I beat up Dean Smith’s wife.”

    nc state fans definetly fall in the best fans category.. we’ve suffered through some agonizing s%&t for some twenty five odd years and are still passionate about our bball program! i guess wtny has served us some purpose…

    As long as they keep whipping unc’s ass in basketball I don’t care how they act.
    We can (and have) take care of football.
