* I’ve gotten to the point that I get frustrated when I see Javi on the floor in a starting role. I recognize this is Ryan Harrow’s first road ACC game…but I can’t help it.

* CJ Leslie sure does love to shoot. I wonder if it would be best to limit him to shoot only when he gets an offensive rebound.

* We don’t seem to be boxing out on the defensive boards. Same old, same old. Even a friggin missed free throw leads to a free three pointer for BC.

* Boston College 10 NC State 4

* This is par for the course for our performance when Javi is in the game compared to Harrow. Don’t know how many mathematical analysis need to be run to prove the point.

9:18pm
* Boston College 12 NC State 9

* Pack settling in a little getting the ball to Tracy Smith in the post. Misses BOTH free throws. MUST convert the ‘little things’ on the road tonight.

* Harrow gets in with 14:30 to go in the half with BC leading 12-9

9:30
* Looking like complete crap. Can’t throw the ball in the ocean from the pier.

* Trailing 24-13 with 7:16 in the first half.

9:45pm: BOSTON COLLEGE 28 NC STATE 26 (HALFTIME)
* Fast first half because the refs didn’t blow many whistles.

* Wolfpack heated up in last 7 minutes as Tracy Smith hit four in a row after missing his first four shots.

Second Half Comment
Thank God we have Ryan Harrow!!! So he can sit on the bench and watch Javi’s presence dig us as deep of a hole on the court as possible!

    At least we have pro-Wolfpacker Len Elmore analyzing our game for us. He is one of the 35 people in the arena right now.

  2. tvp1 01/11/2011 at 10:03 PM #

    Who is that imposter wearing Tracy Smith’s jersey?

  3. lush 01/11/2011 at 10:04 PM #

    Typical Sidney Lowe basketball so far. Totally un motivated / prepared / ready to play.

    Hopefully we will get 50 points in the second half. We are going to need it.

  4. ruffles31 01/11/2011 at 10:08 PM #

    That is at least 5 straight possessions with at most 1 pass. Where is Norman Dale when you need him?

  5. graywolf 01/11/2011 at 10:11 PM #

    Lush is right :”Hopefully we will get 50 points in the second half. We are going to need it.”

    5 for 24 shooting, completely out coached, out hustled, out played thus far. We will need more than 50 to win at this rate. At least its on ESPNU and not a bigger network.

    Wonder if Debbie Yow is watching?

    zero charisma.
    nobody in the seats.
    in Vegas, they call this
    a “high value” game. in other
    words, since nobody cares, the
    bookies clean up with the spread.

  7. WV Wolf 01/11/2011 at 10:17 PM #

    Finally Tracy is looking more like Tracy. And Leslie has zero shooting touch.

  8. seanb724 01/11/2011 at 10:18 PM #

    Where’s the intensity? Why don’t any of our players realize they are on a team? :-/

  9. Whiteshoes67 01/11/2011 at 10:21 PM #

    It’s so consistently bad, even when they win, it’s not even worth watching. I laughed to the point of hysteria on Saturday and Sunday when I read some of the comments on here after the WFU blowout. You know what you get with this team already, regardless of whether Smith is back or not, regardless of the result of the BC game. Consistently undisciplined, unmotivated, and lackadaisical. Defense, but especially perimeter defense, is just terrible. I question the team’s conditioning and their toughness and basketball intelligence.

    I’ve seen church league basketball more exciting than this.

  11. LRM 01/11/2011 at 10:23 PM #

    This is a two-point game, just FYI.

  12. seanb724 01/11/2011 at 10:23 PM #

    Maybe I should walk away from the TV more often. I left down 11. Came back down 4.

  13. packfan03 01/11/2011 at 10:25 PM #

    Considering the first twelve minutes, the final 8 have been fantastic to watch. Great intensity, but more importantly, actual production.

  14. tvp1 01/11/2011 at 10:26 PM #

    Defense got way better there over the last 8 minutes or so.

  15. lush 01/11/2011 at 10:29 PM #

    So why can’t Sid get these guys ready to play? It was a completely different team at the end of the half.

    Win or lose, consistent effort is a must. And it is painfully obvious this staff can’t deliver.

  16. graywolf 01/11/2011 at 10:30 PM #

    Better defense produced offense. Much better but we’ll need lots more in the second half.

  17. tvp1 01/11/2011 at 10:32 PM #

    Don’t think the problem was lack of effort, we just didn’t hit shots early and they got a couple of transition baskets.

  18. STLPack01 01/11/2011 at 10:33 PM #

    We’re clearly way more athletic than they are. If their three balls don’t fall we should have this.

  19. swfncsu 01/11/2011 at 10:33 PM #

    If I were a recruit and happened upon this comment thread, I would want nothing to do with this fanbase.

    Here’s to hoping our recent M.O. for second-half offensive efficiency continues.

  20. john of sparta 01/11/2011 at 10:34 PM #

    intelligence? whiteshoes67…c’mon.
    that’s a ‘no factor’ in the NCAA.
    intensity? packfan03. it’s a
    coaching thang. not a playah.

  21. runwiththepack 01/11/2011 at 10:34 PM #

    When BC was stretching their lead, our players seemed very pensive – not so much that they weren’t hustling (it’s hard to hustle when you’re not sure what to do next). But then what happened? Suddenly it was like they knew what to do with the ball and they almost eliminated BC’s comfortable lead by halftime.

    What happened in order to “turn on the switch”?

  22. NCSU@UNCG 01/11/2011 at 10:38 PM #

    Pretty typical wolfpack first half if you ask me… hopefully the second half plays out like the end of the first half. CJL has no idea where his man is on defense 95% of the time. Also, I cringe every time he takes a shot. CJ has been getting after the boards so far though. Keep feeding Tracy the ball and we win, plain and simple.

  23. swfncsu 01/11/2011 at 10:38 PM #

    @STLPack01- Tim?

  24. STLPack01 01/11/2011 at 10:45 PM #

    @swfncsu: yup.

  25. graywolf 01/11/2011 at 10:48 PM #

    Finally a lead!
