    LOL – the yellow shoes are playing havoc with the software that draws the yellow first down line. When a WV player is standing on/or near the first down line, the yellow line disappears!

    It would seem that the open space for RW would be right behind WVs blitzing Irving. A little Mu Greene route there would probably wreak havoc.

    To answer the uniform questions, they are a tribute to coal miners. The gray on the numbers and helmet are coal dust, the yellow helmet stripe represents the miners helmet light and the shoes are canary yellow for the canaries that used to be used in the mines to test air quality. The 29 helmet sticker is in honor of the 29 miners who died at the Upper Big Branch.

    WV – I would have preferred the ESPN announcers to have explained that during the game over having to watch Oliver Luck discuss his coaching decisions.

    Lunatic Fringe, my mom said the same thing. An explanation would be nice. When you know the story behind the unis I think they are very cool. WVU also wore them in the Backyard Brawl.
