Where was the live game thread today?

i was at the game, not at home watching it again on espn3 because our seats were really low.

would have liked to par-oozed the tread to see the thoughts as the game was going on…

The maturity of this team is evident. Every time I turned to my wife and said we really need to answer with a score…we did. We routinely destroyed any momentum they gained throughout the game.

I also enjoyed the talking heads on radio insinuating that Tenuta would be a good option if Groh does not work out at GT. I think it is a bit presumptuous by the GT fans to think Tenuta would be interested in GT especially since PJ was the one that let him go.

I hope we continue to make strides and do what we have to in order to keep Tenuta happy at NCSU.

I love how the disaster of last years performance is paying dividends in the team this year. The players involved will have that specter on their shoulders their entire college career. Its very grounding and very good……except for when it happens.

What a fun game to watch. The defense was solid and the offense put on quite a show whether it was the line, the backs or the receiving corps which made some catches that should be featured on the weekly highlights. Great all around effort by the entire team. I’m pumped about the VT game next weekend. Got a three game pack and will get to see it in person. Go Wolfpack.
P.S. Great to see Nate back in the game. He’s starting to regain his old form and is making some great plays.

Welp, I haven’t commented in a while, because there has’t been much to talk about.
That being said, I wanted to point out how many times Doris commented that the holes were missing 6 defensive starters. I watched maybe 5 minutes of that game, and heard it at least 4 times. How many starters have the Wolfpack been missing for the last 3 years? I know it was mentioned, but never have I heard an ESPN announcer make that many excuses for us.
    I’m just saying…

We cannot beat Climpsun if our lives depended on it.

  8. BJD95 09/25/2010 at 10:03 PM #

We might not have to beat Clemson to win the Atlantic. I like our chances against everyone else. A lot.

  9. tractor57 09/25/2010 at 10:21 PM #

    Can’t beat Clem’s sons?

Maybe not today but if this team continues to improve I do like their chances.

With every game the upside grows.

There are still areas to improve but at least they look like a TEAM.

Great day to be a ‘Pack fan.

I think isn’t unreasonable to consider this team one of the favorite to play in the championship game. A lot of football to play yet and performance on the filed will settle all.

The sky is the limit, but let’s take ’em one at a time. Go Pack!

This is one of the few times that I’m glad to be wrong – Great Win.
Looking forward to VT in CF next weekend, (hopefully a night game or 3:30 kickoff).

And think we were wanting BBall Season to get here so soon….

I almost forgot how incompotent the scoreboard operator was. Couldn’t keep track of the downs, we had a 1st and 70 to go one time. Didn’t know when to start and stop the clock either. The referee at one point told the scoreboard operator what time to put on the clock, and to please follow the instruction on the refs, on when the clock should and should not be going. I hope he isn’t a graduate of Tech! He may still be in grammar school.

A brilliant, detailed, and thorough analysis.

NC State: road dog at UCF. Result: win.

NC State: home dog against reigning Big East Champion Cincinnati. Result: win.

NC State: heavy underdog on road against “unstoppable” reigning ACC Champion Georgia Tech. Result: Win.

    What a game.
It was not even as close as it appeared.
    The D looks great.
Wilson (who is short in case you missed the announcers talking about it) played great except for that pick and he turned around and led a statement drive after it.
I cannot believe the 4 of the OL are sophs. Scary how good our line will be in a few years.

BTW Cincinnati almost beat Ok. Lost by 2 points.

  17. Statefan1998 09/26/2010 at 7:27 AM #

Not to jump the gun, but the OL next year is going to be great. I think Vermiglio is underrated, but Crisp will slide right in. Another thing that should be pointed out is the great play of the three FR on ST, Amerson, Green, and Johnson. Plus, Gentry continues to preform.

  18. EdMar 09/26/2010 at 7:32 AM #

WOW, What a game! I’m starting to believe
Cincy gave OKLA a good game and GT was an ACC favorite, we should be in the rest of the games this year.

The defense has played a lot better than last year and Mr. Wilson will keep us in every game.

The kicking game is a litttle scary and we have to quit those short lapses that lead to quick scores (I think that was two GT TDs in 50 secs)

I loved the way our team showed charater when right after the Int. we marched right back and re-established control of the game.

Cannot wait for Saturday, should be a great game

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves on the “next year” talk… I think this is the year we peak in the short-term. Loads of veteran receivers, and I doubt Russell’s around next fall… subtract RW and the receivers, and this offense is ordinary.

Let’s enjoy this year, as we really can make some noise – a LONG way to go, though. We’re just 1-0 in the games that count. Just hard to imagine the offense getting shut down, and the D looks…… stout.

  20. Rick 09/26/2010 at 7:58 AM #

They need to start a Wilson for Heisman campaign.
Not for this year but to try to get him to come back for next 😉

  21. Packfan28 09/26/2010 at 8:22 AM #

Haha, the guy must be a Clempson fan in disguise. Of course we can beat them. That game will be a toss up. Be we have a few other teams to take care of first.

  22. Sam92 09/26/2010 at 8:46 AM #

i’m starting to believe, but still not looking ahead – GT was a pretty good team, so is VT – if we can beat GT then we can beat VT

    two keys –

minimize mistakes. as potent as our offense is, if we do not turn the ball over we are tough to beat.

minimize the number of times we have to punt or kick field goals – that’s our weakest spot.

  23. LifeLongWolf 09/26/2010 at 9:02 AM #

Read in the paper today that we used a different punter. True? I didn’t hear the ESPN announcers say anything about that. Can anyone confirm that?

Random thought during the day yesterday: I would NOT want to be tackled by Nate Irving. That dude is a beast.

  24. Statefan1998 09/26/2010 at 9:21 AM #

That I saw that yesterday. Number 35 was out terr punting. What number is Ruiz?

  25. packbackr04 09/26/2010 at 9:23 AM #

it was a dif punter. but he never saw the field b/c russell was putting it in the zone all day
