The injury report is out for the Wolfpack, and it includes an unexpected key loss on the defensive line (the last place you want to have a loss when playing against Georgia Tech).
N.C. State will have to face Georgia Tech’s vaunted rushing attack without one of its better interior defensive lineman Saturday afternoon.
Defensive tackle Marcus Kuhn, a redshirt junior, will miss the contest with an injured knee, according to the injury report released by the school Thursday morning.
The Pack will also be without the services of cornerback Jarvis Byrd, who is also recovering from a knee injury, and offensive tackle Mikel Overgaard (elbow).
Defensive backs Jesse Riley (knee) and Rashard Smith (knee) have already been ruled out for the season.
Although Coach O’Brien’s program this year has clearly not been as decimated by injuries as in the last couple of years, the Pack will travel to Atlanta without the services of four starters – Kuhn, Overgaard, Byrd and Smith.
