    This, Mr. AD, is the doodoo we’re in.
    17 and 42 in the ACC,
    Plus 8 straight losses to UNC.
    When will this coach ever learn how to win?

    “I am disappointed that we didn’t come out in the second half and play smart,” Lowe said. “We talked about it at halftime: there are times in a ball game when you can make a run, and that is one of them.

    “We came out and made some really bad decisions. That is the kind of thing that has been killing us here lately. I really don’t think we are far off in understanding how to win games. We just have to make smart plays.”

    There are only 14 schools with multiples…no googling, I’ve just filed this away. CCNY is not a multiple.

    There really is no reason to get rid of Coach Lowe right now.

    Let me finish, please….

    What good will it do for Lowe to go now? All that means is that we will have ANOTHER ‘coaching search’ done by Lee Fowler. And, if he does that, then we would potentially be stuck with another BBall coach who will need years of ‘rebuilding’ before they have to be fired and we start all over again…assuming we would get another AD in the meantime.

    A competent athletic director demands results, and if they are not realized, he finds someone else who can get it done. As much as I hate to malign someone else, the truth is that Fowler has no idea how to run an athletic program and his performance is at the root of all the disastrous results we see in NC State athletics. The Georgia fan from above that made comments about our athletics program…in no way did I even consider getting upset or mad about them, because he’s right. We are really bad.

    In no way do I place the blame on the athletes themselves either. Most of them are doing the best they can, but even the best army is only as good as it’s leadership. Right now we have an incompetent leadership not only in the athletic department, but in the university administration as well because they continue to let it happen year after year without calling Fowler to account.

    Chancellor Woodson, I don’t know if you read SFN or not, but if you do, the great majority of us, the Wolfpack faithful, feel you’ve had more than enough time to see what is happening, and it’s time to take action. OUR university is a failure when it comes to most every athletic endeavor it takes. It has to stop and it has to stop now. Lee Fowler is digging a hole while he’s standing in it, and throwing the dirt right back on top of our heads.

    In the medical profession there is a saying:

    ‘All bleeding eventually stops’

    That is true because either some action is taken to keep the wound from bleeding more, or the patient dies and the bleeding stops.

    I’m tired of the bleeding. I admire Coach Lowe greatly, but it’s just not getting done. Fowler has to go before any Head Coaching position should be addressed in any sport.

    I hope LF is not here to make the next search, but my 15 year old son could hire a better coach. It would be harder to find a worse one actually.

    They killed us on the boards!!! How the !@#$% does that happen when they’re playing their second string???
    Can’t beat the Holes even without 3 of their players. We suck.
    Another year with terrible guards. We suck.
    The team has given up, they are just playing out the string. Me too. We suck.

    I made a mistake and watched today. Won’t make that mistake again this year.

    I predicted on this site that we’d go 0 for Feb, but I hoped i was wrong. I wasn’t.

    Only Tracey, Howell, and CJ had more assists than turnovers today.

    Someone needs to explain to Javi that a 1:1 ratio for assists to turnovers is not a goal to pursue…

    Nobody should show up Wednesdat night – maybe a 75% empty RBC will send the message to the Chancellor. After all, the AD doesn’t show up for the games, why should the fans ?

    The problem i see is that we really dont have enough talent.
    Scott Wood may have a good iq, but the guy can not hit a shot. So even though i like him as a freshman, he is getting significant minutes and not contributing enough. He can’t take his man off the dribble and is only a 3pt shooter- who can’t hit a shot.
    We are getting 0 from the 2 position. Degand and Williams both suck. Williams catches the ball and immediately looks to get rid of it, even when no one is covering him. Absolutely worthless. Degand has had some good games earlier, but overall is just not an ACC caliber player.
    Javier basically scores to off set his turnovers, so he is like net o. Mays is so righthanded and slow that the defense can handle him easily. He totally slows the game down on offense when he is in the game- Sid did the right thing. You just have to go with Javi and live with the net 0.
    Horner started the year pretty good, but he is just too short, slow, and can not jump to compete in the ACC.

    I really feel for Sid. There just is 0 options for him. There is no where to go. No one can hit shots, etc.
    The only ACC player we have on this team is Tracy, and he can’t do it alone. At this point, he needs to give minutes to Howell and Painter to get them experience for the future.
    We just aren’t good and will not be for awhile.

    Sidney is making a great case for his dismissal. That being said, it cant get any worse than last place. With Brown and Harrow already being signed we might as well keep him until they are in the red and white. Remember our coaching search after Herb’s departure? Calipari, Barnes etc., no one was willing to accept. Sid was a last resort, now it’s worse. I think a starting five of Brown, Harrow, Wood, Smith, and Howell is the brightest possible option for the 2010-11 season. I promise I won’t cry if Javi never sees the floor again.

    the fans should show up to support the team.. the players. it has absolutely no impact on the duration of fowler or lowe.. but that is only if you want to. i’ve only managed to get to raliegh once this year (new orleans).. and it wasn’t pretty. I WISH I WERE CLOSER TO GET TO MORE OF THE GAMES.

    i agree with this. i would add our four freshman wood howell davis and painter should be mentioned too. they are just freshman, normally you wouldn’t have to rely on them to contribute this early. i guess we have learn to expect this from not sid but HWSNBN.

    i’d like tracy to be moved to the 4. i think he can step his game up and let a painter/howell take charge at 5. or atleast move them around.

    i also like the red blazer. if i can find a deal on one, there’ll be one in my closet!

    another point, we have lost to the turds today.. but that doesn’t gurauntee us last place or them not to finish their. they are not that good. teams with better guards will give them the most trouble. i can’t wait to see their trip to cameron… should be funny.
