    I think when teams get tired, talent level takes over… and Duke has more shooters.

    Are we not on pace to average 20 turnovers a game? That has to be closing in on a ACC record.

    Another 5 min plus scoring drought, some things never change.
    BUT, we played like a basketball team tonight and playing like we played the first 2/3 of the game we will beat many ACC teams and make post-season play, the big question is can Sid get the guys to reproduce this effort night in and night out? Overall I’m proud of the effort for the first time this season. Let’s build on this and go out and win some games!!!

    Dukes holds opponents to 60 pts on average… how could a less-than-average team score more than 60 pts, it’s just math…

    No this one isn’t on Sid. Played well for most the game, just stupid silly idiotic turnovers late feeding the Dukie Frenzy. Key guys disappeared late. Same story, Chapter 6.

    Damn a shame ,no more moral victory’s we get destroyed and out coached last 5 minutes badly every damn game.

    This team showed potential tonight. Guys remember, we played the #2 team in the country at there place. the score does not reflect the game. If we keep playing with this intensity, who knows. Come on, Dook had to shoot 70% in the 2nd half to beat us.

    Javi? Does he think he’s auditioning for the Globetrotters or something? Dribble around, doesn’t pass, just waits til he turns the ball over. Do these guys just refuse to be coached or are they being coached?

    I just don’t get the stupid turnovers that relate back to just pure bssic ballhandling.

    hey im not ashamed for them to be my school. i see improvement from week to week. we will see what bc has to offer im happy with the wolfpacks play for 30 min of that game ( first 5 and final 5 min not happy with). we can build on this i am confident young players are improving and sid seems to coaching well. stay positive guys its getting better rather than worse

    Again, Sid deserves his share, in terms of personnel on the floor at the end of the game. No, Sid didn’t turn the ball over, but he has to put the right people on the court at the right time for wins like this. Also, I know that basically that means he’s rolling the dice at this point. Hopefully, it will come up craps a few times before this season is over.

    Fantastic effort for 30 minutes

    I thought the defensive effort in the first half was spectacular

    Obviously a litle letdown on defense in the 2nd half (to put it mildly) – but Duke shot virtually 100% in the half … unreal

    I’m definitely not displeased, though … I’ll take efforts like this every time out

    When we don’t turn the ball over and actually execute we’re not all that bad

    Game changing play to me was when Fells picked up his third foul on Henderson early in the 2nd half (I thought it was a ticky tack call, but whatever) … Johnny nor CJ even came close to locking down Henderson 🙁

    Good effort guys, maybe we can steal a few down the road

    With 5:49 left the score was 55-58, we finished 56-73. Duke took us on a 15-1 in the final 5 minutes.

    i’m very happy with this game…
    they overachieved tonight
    GREAT intensity
    (the last 5 minutes could have been better)
    we left some easy buckets on the court that could have made a difference…but i was pleased with the game

    Like who exactly? Mark Price, Scottie Pippen, Hakeem, Moses Malone and Kobe? We don’t have them. Not yet anyways.

    And I will NOT pin this on the “big guys” disappearing down the stretch. If Sid wants them to be a factor, he needs to run Brandon off some screens to free him up from long range… or he needs to get Ben posted up & have cutters going to the basket… or he needs to run SOMETHING besides “Okay, whoever’s playing point needs to come as close as possible to a 5-second count, then dribble into traffic.”

    This team has no concept of how to run a half-court offense… or how to run a fast-break.

    54 points in the ACC? And some folks feel GOOD about that game? That speaks volumes, since 54 won’t win in the ACC… at any point.

    Dear Coach Lowe,

    1. Never play Javi Gonzalez again. His poor play at 10 mins – 8 mins destroyed the momentum.

    2. Call a Timeout during other team runs with less than 8 mins and set an offensive play that has a chance.

    3. Realize their team is Gerald Henderson supported by 3 slow guys that can shoot. Mix it up on them defensively to stop that!

    This game was NC State’s to lose with 10 mins left!!! Lowe had his team ready to play but acted like a virgin on prom night the last 10 mins. I don’t think Coach K even had to do anything. Coach K knew the meltdown by State was going to happen.

    Does no one else think that we were lucky to hit a ton of bad, low percentage shots in the 1st half?
