Yates Out For Six Weeks

Rumors circulating around that TJ Yates is out for the season (update: out for six weeks). They will now turn to Paulus or Cam Sexton as QB. As a UNC fan told SFN on friday afternoon “you can’t let injuries be an excuse for having a bad season”.

Actually – I think the play on defense that said the most to me was late in the 4th quarter where Pinkney scrambled around for what seemed like 5 minutes – our DBs had all the routes covered, he finally found a receiver open on a short route, and by the time he threw the ball Morgan made a play to prevent any kind of gain at all. 2 years ago – or maybe even last year – our dbs – most of whom played on Sundays, would likely have broken coverage leaving a wide open receiver…It’s completely understandable, at every level of football that sometimes happens. Fantastic coverage on that play.

Crimini, can we get a break?

On Eugene and leadership, I was speaking of off season workouts (N&O article with Hill) in particular, and how he plays so hard. Of course getting a penalty is unacceptable, especially in that situation. I had forgotten how much I like to watch him play until Sat. He really is a change in style to Andre, although they are both great in their own ways. So glad to see Andre using his size (230) heading more downhill this year as opposed to stretching plays outside.

Chapel Hole would’ve won Saturday’s game “if it weren’t for Yates’ injury”

Chapel Hole would’ve won their division “if it weren’t for Yates’ injury”

See how easy that is? The excuse train is ready roll o’er the Hill … This all we’ll hear from the media (local + national) for the next two months … Meanwhile, in Raleigh, a certain team is fielding tryouts for back-ups to the walk-ons … I can’t wait to hear about all of Chapel Hole’s talent going to waste b/c of a bad injury …

Halloween in Chapel Hill would have been great….
except for Yate’s break and the Town Council’s
decision to close the bars @ 10.
this kinda thing can go on forever.
take TOB and run to the house.

If they are closing the bars at 10, it just means you’ve got to start your drinking at 4, like decent folks would.

The pine trees surrounding Kenan would have been prettier except for Yate’s broken tootsie!

So what’s “Dances with Sheep” gonna do now?
