I think Johnson could be a 2/3 if we ran with a 3 guard setup, he’s shown that he does have offensive capability, but I think that his other duties at PG are hurting him from asserting himself offensively as he’s trying to setup an offense. He has good size for a 2/3 as well. He may have shaky ball handling in comparison to some of the better PG’s in the ACC, but he’s a better ball handler than most 3’s.

It may just be me, but I’ve seen some flashes of offensive capability, especially with that spin move he used at Duke. I think that he’s trying too hard to setup an offense when really he’s better suited to be scoring rather than playing the point.

His game from what we know also plays into the 2/3 spot, he’s not the fastest, he’s 6’5 at 205 pounds, CAN hit the 3 at an acceptable clip even with his home made jumper and has some driving moves to the basket. Add in better than most ball handling skills at the 2/3 position and he could be a good selection for that spot as it looks like he’s going to have issues holding on to the PG position with Mays/Degand both coming in next year with with considerably more quickness and Javi is currently winning the PG battle with him this year.

Tracy Smith could play the 3 if needed I bet.

“Any offensive production by Costner was more than negated by his inexplicable nonexistence defensively. It is almost as if he is being paid off, or drugged.”
Agreed-he must be doing bong hits and gouging himself on White Castle every night!
We do seem to be better off without him.
I’d much rather see Tracy Smith out there working his butt off than “Mr. NO D FOR ME”. At the least the freshman is good for some rebounds and much-needed toughness.
Let’s hope we see very little of BC at BC!

Degan might not be very quick next year, since ACL injuries take more than a year to fully heal.

    ^^
ah yes, let the unjustified optimistic assumptions about next year begin! (sort of like “Lowe and Towe are former point guards…they will find/develop someone who can play that position” with regard to this year’s season)

Like the blooming of the daffodils, it’s another sign for a Pack fan that yet another awful ACC season is winding down.

Well, to Lowe/Towes credit, Javi is a helluva lot better than he was at the start of the year.

Wait, you said “another”, as if it’s been going on forever. Think back, don’t remember just the Golden Years, the glorious tippy toe into the NCAAT and the “Five In A Row”.

Whoops, gotta go, for some reason I just got very sleepy.

I don’t why, but when I think back on those days I always get a sudden urge to watch The Wizard Of OZ. But just that one scene, with the big field of flowers and all.

7 games to go, not even within sight of “the bubble”

Nothing new about the position we’re in. We’ve been here every year, except when we finished second in the ACC.
